For some reason it seems to be related to the personal happiness of the postal worker.
(I'm serious.)

Find a postal worker who has "hit their career ceiling" and is quite bitter about it,
and you'll find a postal worker who will make a stink about comic books
as media mail, or about advertisements from the 1960s.

Find a postal worker who enjoys his/her job, enjoys relating to customers,
and/or has a happy homelife... and you'll get a totally different answer.

I guess it's the luck of the draw who might be in your town. :wink:

I think this is the case a lot of times too. The people that work at my Post Office are always pretty nice and have never hassled me about packages.

Every post office has one or two of these "bitter' workers.

You just have to know when they are not there.
