If you gave Aric hugs and kisses, would it be XOXO X-O?

Ax, Byrneout, Sector3600 and company

Indeed the Manowar Class was a higher evolved lifeform. It seems the commando class is somewhat sentient too. When the Malev Emperor (in Rai's mind) tried to take over Kazuyo's armor, it made a remark about a "sentience" to Kazuyo's armor. Wonder if the Commando class can evolve/grow spores like the X-O if given time?

Spylocke did have a great interest in the armor, but having the X-o control ring on Magnus' hand deterred him somewhat. Okay, if Magnus did not want the armor, how about giving it to Kazuyo? Yes, the armor is somewhat of an unknown, but Leeja could establish a rapport to determine it's intent. Given the information that Spylocke somehow knew the X0 had grown a spore, it is very likely the armor was once Aric's.

Given the Malev situation, having someone trustworthy in the future force group use the X-O Manowar class armor, after reasonable safety was determined, would be worth the risk. Given Magnus' mental and physical endurance, he would have been the perfect candidate for using the X-o Armor. I bet the X-O was better protection than his armor even if he could damage the X-O. The only way to be sure the armor would not fall into enemy hands would be to destroy it. But given the morals of the group, destroying the x-o was not a likely option

Besides it would have been a better storyline for Magnus to use the armor for a time. I think most readers would have liked to see Magnus Manowar. It could be debated ad infinitum over why/why not someone should use the X-O in 4002.

Here's a thought, then.

Why don't we fill in Valiant's lapse. Maybe write some fan fiction that occurs in between an issue of Magnus and Rai that incoprorates Magnus using the armor, and gives a plausible reason for him not to use it.

I coudl easily see someone pointing out to Magnus that he would be unstoppable... and then, like Superman giving a chunk of kryptonite over to Batman "just in case", I coudl see Magnus handing off the control ring to ASA... or maybe someone else?

Just a thought. Anyone willing to take a crack at it?

Fan fiction? I know we are all closet comic book dorks here... but that's about the lamest idea I've read on this board in awhile.

Lame?

Well, I guess that you are entitled to your opinion.

I have seen some well-written fan fiction in my day, however. In fact, let's look at a few examples:

Zeb Wells
Zeb Wells wrote fan fiction, and even produced a short video - a parody of The Real World starring super-heroes such as Thor, Hulk, Supergirl, etc. Zeb is currently writing for Marvel comics after they noticed his work.

Lori Ann Scott
Lori wrote fan fiction for the He-Man and the Masters Of The Universe website (he-man.org). Now, she's the official writer of the MotU comic book line produced by Image/MV Creations.

So, while you may see fan fiction as lame, these two examples (and there are plenty more) just show that in some cases, the companies that actually pay to see these characters brought to life would disagree with you.

For all we know, someone could see the time and quality of a Magnus fan fiction, and look at taking that person who wrote it into iBooks to head up some Magnus projects.

Possibly getting paid to write about Magnus... Lame? I don't think so.

Someday maybe my Care Bears fan fiction will get noticed and I will make it to the big time like those two people you mentioned. Thanks for the inspiration.

Oh yeah?

Just for that, I *will* write some fan fiction - featuring the "ROBOT ON ROBOT ACTION" that you feared so much from earlier in the thread. :D

MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Fear my fiction!

OK, I'm going to go take my medicine now... and no, I'm not serious about a single word of this post.

Great thread, I dont really need to address anything because you all already mentioned all points I would have  I will say its interesting topic cause I just read this mini for the first time ever only a week or two ago and felt the same thing, I understand Magnus wanting to make a point to show the Predator that he was not about battle suveniers but when he saw that it was X-O's ring, you would think that it would have had some sentimeniality to him and he would have been like give me that! :thumb: As far as him not wearing it in war time when he could have: I would have to agree with you who think that was a pretty lame director's call. But whatever, if they just start making new comics, they can let all this stuff play out, we're the core audience, we should be the inspiration for what fans want to see.

Agreed.. the X-O ring SHOULD have stayed in story somewhere.. The writers could haqve come up with a good reason.. maybe the sentient life wouldnt work with a Harbinger or something?? Theres a story in there somewhere LOL

Now Im concerned that I should have added Magnus V Predator in my binds somewhere

You can fit in in somewhere :thumb: I'm going to put in in my Magnus Vol. 1 since it was written by shooter, or at least plotted by him.

The individual comics?!? If you mean the trade, no thank you! Lol...

I like individual comics over a trade, and those should be about a buck a piece, yes?

I meant the trade. Sorry for the confusion. As for price, they should run between 1-3 dollars per issue.

It will be amazing, but you will not understand it. As I write in english, but cannot spell.
