I spoke with a Diamond rep today and he said that while the artist proff editions are GONE...the regular statue was NOT Allocated....If you have a GOOD retailer they should be able to still order one for you...
If your retailer ordered 3 and they only recieved 1....They should look into that problem with there Diamond rep and find out why that was the case.
The numbers ordered for this statue were BELOW 250.

I tried to reorder through Diamond and it isn't available. They it is a backordered item now, which usually means forget about it. The statue is alot better than I thought it would be though. The base is kind of cheesy but the figure itself is pretty nice. Mine was #209/250. I just bought another off of Ebay tonight. 300 total print run is the lowest production run I've seen on anything like this. I'm surprised they even did it.betterthanezra wrote:I spoke with a Diamond rep today and he said that while the artist proff editions are GONE...the regular statue was NOT Allocated....If you have a GOOD retailer they should be able to still order one for you...

My guy checked last week and they told him he couldn't order any more as well. He is even keeping one due to the low print run. Can I ask what you paid on Ebay?COMICKINGS wrote:I tried to reorder through Diamond and it isn't available. They it is a backordered item now, which usually means forget about it. suggested retail was $49.99. I never saw a solicitation on the Artist Proofs though. Also I wonder why they would do 50 artist proofs on a 300 total production run.tcolli wrote:Not bad, aren't they $59.99 new so not your regular price but still not bad!COMICKINGS wrote:$57 after shipping. I placed an order yesterday for one directly through Dynamic Forces' website. I emailed them a few hours later to make sure it went through as it wasnt showing up on my orders page. I got an email today that said the order went through so hopefully that means there are a few left if you want to bypass diamond and your lcs and order directly. The cost was 49.99 and about 15 for shipping. Also, they gave me 14 comics for free though I am not sure what they are.

Man....I hate to be the only naysayer here, but I just didn't care for the look of the statue. Is it better in person?
DF's Universe X statues were gorgeous, but they were mostly forgettable characters. I liked their Cassaday Captain Americas, they were nicely done. But Solar just seems overly plain to me, maybe rushed even. I kinda wish I had gotten one due to the limitation now, usually DF overproduces their statues to the point that dealers have difficulty making money, but they may have hit on the secret formula here!
Just my 2 cents......

Its by no means gorgeous but it is pretty good. I think it is worth the $50 as most Batman statues I buy run around $90-$100!MagnusRF wrote:Man....I hate to be the only naysayer here, but I just didn't care for the look of the statue. Is it better in person?![]()

Good point on the price. I've plunked down some fat bank on some items, generally Bowen, but a few Factory X pieces too. The price skipped past me when it was solicited. I imagine my brain saw a statue and just automatically said, "Oh, there's another hundred bucks, no thanks!"tcolli wrote:Its by no means gorgeous but it is pretty good. I might have to pick one up, if I see it and it's not spiralling out of control price wise.....

I agree...it's worth the $50..I've seen plenty Diamond Select full size statues in the $125-$150 range that look terrible. And it's the about the same price as a Bowen Mini-bust which would look alot better if they were twice their size.tcolli wrote:Its by no means gorgeous but it is pretty good. I appreciate the offer. If my current guy ever flakes on me I may have to take you up on it. Right now, he is giving me his cost plus $10 per statue and I wouldn't have to pay shipping.daydreamscomics wrote:if there are any statues coming out that you are looking to pick up, i can give you a pretty good discountMagnusRF wrote:Good point on the price.
