Thanks - you were the first to pick up on it on the boards, but I never said anything before the NYC show to anyone. I REALLY wanted to meet those guys, and I don't feel bad about what I spent to do it.Daniel Jackson wrote:Sorry to hear that. I hope you find an even better one.slym2none wrote:As soon as I get another job, I might be looking to split a hotel room with someone..... wish me luck, everyone!

As far as getting a better one, it shouldn't be too difficult - but thanks again.

-slym (will work for Dino at the drop of a hat, just ask...)

Actually, I have some family in San Diego so it may be possible for me to stay with them if I went.
*SKREE* that. If I go it would be to meet and hang out with the VF crowd so I would definitely stay close to everyone.
Is there a list somewhere of those that are in, out, and maybe?
Does anyone know how to redeem Capital One miles?

No offense intended, but I knew at an early age that the military wasn't for me. Although the Air Force gals might could change my mind.....Knightt wrote:I can getcha a job that has salary wage, 30 days paid vacation a year, three square meals a day, unifo... clothes provided, full medical and dental, lots of ammo and all the Air Force gals you can bang !!!slym2none wrote:My last job was part warehouse, part sales of safety shoes (steel-toed.) You know, I thought that something was up. Like Jedi, you never post during the day. Then all of a sudden you were. I noticed it but I really didn't think much of it. I must have just thought your hours changed or something like that.slym2none wrote:As soon as I get another job, I might be looking to split a hotel room with someone..... wish me luck, everyone!

I have found that I have to check them ALL to find the best deal, every time I have flown it has been through a different service. My trip to NY? I found the best price on Netscape Travel, BION! And do a search for bargain services, sometimes you can find where a plane has an open seat, or possibly a wrong price posted that they have to honor if you reserve it in time.....Erskine71 wrote:Anybody know which site is selling the cheapest plane tickets to San Diego? I just recieved the following email from the Hotel I booked. This was prepaid by the way.
We have been trying to reach you by phone; to speak with you personally
regarding your upcoming reservation for the StayBridge Suites San
Diego-Downtown, CA arriving on July 19th, 2006. Unfortunatley, the
hotel
will be permanetly closed as of April 24, 2006 and we regret that as a
result we will not be able to honor your reservation.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you would like
assistance in finding alternate accommodations please let us know as
soon as
possible by calling 1-800-621-0555 for Guest Relations or
1-800-HOLIDAY.
Sincerely,
Nice of them to give provide such advance notice. This is the first time they attempted to contact me as I recived no other emails and had no messages from them. So now I am trying to find accomindations for 4 somewhere in walking distance. Seeing how most were booked in Feb it doesn't look good.
