Now I may be wrong on this but I remember when a few of these popped up on ebay and there were a few of us who swooped in on them at I think $6 or $7.50 plus shipping. I asked the dealer if he had more and by the time I had informed other board members, the guy jacked the price by a buck !!

*SQUEE*...

At $15 shipped, I'd say that is a good deal considering I think these to be somewhat rare and that is only because I imagine that there is a warehouse somewhere with pallets of them.

I would like to know the story behind them as it was Revco who put these together and bundled them. I think that Revco bought a $hitload of card boxes and whatever Dark Dominion binders that were to be had by The Red River Group and printed a new cover out of whatever art was to be had and then shrink wrapped the lots. It would be a very nice deal to get a box of cards plus a binder for only $20 bucks back in the day.

Dropped into the same LCS on friday for a quick pick up and found in some new 'old books' boxes a bagged set of the Broadway black and white previews. The girl working the register was asking the owner how much she should charge because of the four books within came out of the $.50 each or 3 for $1.00 box and he said... 'no, charge him $.50 cents. How can I charge the guy $.50 cents each when when these came out they all came in a bag and they are pretty worthless.'

Again, I appreciate his willingness of feeling bad and charging decent cash for garbage.

And with the other character boxes sealed inside too. I got the one with the "Sueraceen" box cover in this one so I guess there are 4 variants of this sealed set. And the others for the "Lorca," "Shooter" and "Ulnareah" box art....

8-)

Today at the show I picked up an Elementals vol 1 TPB and The First vol 1 TPB for 3.00

Draco grabbed me a beautiful stories for ugly children # 29 but it turns out I already had it so he has another one to cross off his list and a Warlands Wizard 1/2. At 25p each can't complain. :thumb:

He also found me a stack of Quantum and Woody issues. Win.

I also got a Boom! Bloodbowl TPB for 2.00

Due to the legandary Amazon screw up I got a $25 gift voucher.
I used it to by the delux hardcover of Rocketeer.

Discounted from $75? to $44 on amazon usa. Not available in UK, (when it was is was £60.)

So with the $25 dollar off = $22.

But then I pressed currency converteer and the price dropped to $0.00.

:thumb:

It has just been requestared as shipped :thumb:

There were a few here without coa's but most were DF books and there were several Ultraverse that are Catalyst too.

The story behind this guy is great.
He had these up a while back for £5-8 each and i won a few cheap books off him and offered him £2.50-3.50 on some of these, but he said no way as they were worth much more and will relist them. Well he didnt re list until recently and then no one bid on them all at 99p each, so i placed £2.00 on most and le them ride.
His communication skills are appalling and he over charges on postage, but i won in the end.
Another board member won a few books from him too for a great price

cheers guys, we dont see this stuff in the UK very often at shows, as the incentive and DF books were lowly ordered in comparison to the US if you work in on 10% size of the market basis, plus when they are available they still have crazy prices or are in very poor condition.
Also ebay isnt a good hunting ground either for them.

This was a great pick up for my slightly more annoying DU books for sure.
