Hint for the future - don't tell people what you paid for your great bargains.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

You don't have to agree with the logic. The point is very clear, whether you "agree" with it or not: when you talk about a screaming deal, and then nearly instantly offer it up for "the going rate" which is many, many times what you paid for it, people are going to resent you.

It does not matter whether you think that's "fair" or not: it's a FACT OF LIFE.

You can either A. tell everyone what a smokin' deal you got, and leave it at that (in which case, most of the folks on this board will be happy for you, myself included)....or B. don't say a word about what you paid, and sell it for the going rate. In either of those scenarios, people aren't going to react to you in a resentful, negative manner for the most part.

It's when you do both that there's a problem.

You can ignore what I say, you can disagree with what I say all you want....but that will never change the truth of it.

Yea, it's a sad fact of life, I got it. And I thank God that is not how my mind was designed. A Golden Nugget is a golden nugget no matter who's it is or how they got it in my world, no matter how you slice it :P

[And actually it was a hundred less than the going rate]

Not too shabby. Usually #51 goes for more than that just by itself.

Yeah I was. Its nothing personal but I thought it was tacky how you bragged about getting such a great deal and solicited offers. Not saying it was wrong just that it rubbed me the wrong way.

I sent the guy a question asking for the cover price on the Visitor Vs. Valiant Universe. He said it was $2.50. He didn't say if it was both that had that cover price. The low bid when I left this morning was $0.49, that would have been quite a pickup.

So now I play the waiting game...
Looks like I am going to have to request a partial refund.

Rai TPB and Rai Companion signed by Sean Chen

$0.99 for both (+$4.80 S&H) . . . I will take them! Seller said he won a prize package from Wizard and these were included.

I sent a very nice message earlier today. I didn't mention negative feedback - but I will next time.

Basically I asked either for a refund of half the purchase price of the lot (not including shipping) or a full refund of cost, shipping and return shipping and I'll send the books back. Haven't heard back yet today, but I am starting off very reasonable.

Also helps that sellers can't neg back and he's already left positive feedback.
