Yup. That just wasn't a very good way to do a project and I hope no one ever does one that way again.depluto wrote:Boy, there were a lot of sore people in that thread ...speedracex wrote:http://www.valiantfans.com/forum/viewto ... highlight=

That way there are 50 issues in play of this project......

Again, does anyone know who has #20 for this project?
Would there be an interest in a negative 25 continuation of this project?

A very public thank you to that generous boardmember for rounding out my collection and keeping the original spirit of these projects alive.

S'ok, sometimes even I don't know the exact spelling.

I will NOT be offering the Extra that originaly came with the ASH.
Not something I can make happen. I have come up with something else instead when the project is officially announced.....It's VERY cool.
Just thought I would let those of you interested in the continuation of this project know.....

I am very interested... hoping that this goes up to #50 at least as I have all the #50s.
One thing to consider is that with my VfVSS, I went up to 60 copies and am currently 'sold out'. I think that the demand for this book might warrent 60 copies so that new members can get in on it and this will also tamp down the secondary market on these books. I am all for making these fan projects as they were intended.
Brian, if you need any help with this, please let me know as I am just coming off putting a major project together and having it completed in just five weeks, from start to end. It is a lot of work.

Good question. I wonder how many people who usually buy the VfVSS books will pass on this one just because they dislike VH2.speedracex wrote:Brian, can you say if this will be books 26-50? or another 1-50 set of books?betterthanezra wrote:I will NOT be offering the Extra that originaly came with the ASH.

I don't think that will bother too many people. KC didn't have any problem selling out his Turok Evolution project he did last year.Brother J wrote:Good question. To respect the original project offered my idea was to offer a continuation of this project in negative numbers.
This sounds pretty cheesy to several of you "I get that".
Since the certificate that Steve included with the ASH states there are only 25 copies of this project.....I thought it would have been MORE cheesy to offer this as 26-50....to me this wouldn't be respecting the original project.
Whats the different between someone else offering EXTRA'S of another project....
I thought if I went backwards with a negative number system it would still respect the original project and offer something unique in terms of members NOT able to get this project. My love of VH-2 is another driving force to completing this.
From what I have read I don't think all 25 copies were distributed...I know I never recieved my copy of it. I get that Steve went through something right after this project went down....so who knows.
Thanks Chris....for the offer...I might call you for something on this project.
Thoughts? problems? questions? idea's? bathroom problems?

I've almost given up entirely on the original #20. That person must have left the boards long ago.

Oh hey, and for the record... Brian, you put something together and I will support you on it. Nobody hacked on me about my silly idea for a VfVSS when I did NINJAK so I would expect the same courtesy to be extended to you. Once a person on these boards is given the authorization by Greg (who is good about sending up that "hey that is a stupid idea flag") to do a project, I (personally) dont think it is right to hack on anyone for their idea, process, signup rules etc. Why ? Well, it is a helluva lot of work to gather x amount of books, do backerboard, get bags, put boards IN bags, comics IN bags, an 'extra' of whatever else goes on NOT to mention a certain amount of capital that is hanging around in limbo until the money is recouped for the project. In some cases you never get your money back. So, I will support anyone who does a project in the future as I know how much work it is to put one together. I fell into hacking on Zach's project a bit because of frustration and perhaps mob mentality but that is not likely to happen in the future. Hindsight 20/20.
Whatever the results pos/neg, you have my support Brian. You know me, I dont even like VH2 but with something like this... that point is moot.
ROCK ON !!!

Hmm...
I support Brian on this whole-heartedly. I am even looking forward to getting one, even though I have never read a VH-2 comic. That being said, if this project is limited to only 25 copies and my possibility of getting one knocks out one of the true "old-timers" here that missed out on the first one? I don't want to get in their way, and will pass. Now, with THAT being said, if it's not an instant sell-out, count me in!
