You know... I just don't get it... I go to LCS around here and the few that actually have some mark their Valiants in 1993 standards. Everyone here though is tripping over boxes and boxes of them.... no fair. :(

150 boxes of comics... just imagine the house fire that would cause. :)

The trouble with comics and fire is the lack of space between the books to maintain combustion. Yes, paper burns. Yes, old, dry paper burns better. But both require oxygen to burn and the lack of space between the pages and the addition of plastic bags reduces the burning to a slow smoulder.

See...see.... this isn't just a forum where people talk about Valiant... it's a learning experience... Now I know that the safest place to sleep in order to avoid being burned alive in a fire is a oxegen free tank! :)

Or on top of my comics. :)

Not to steal your thunder but your story reminded me of a hoarde of valiants I found a few years back.

After winning a bid on a Harbinger collection on ebay I contacted the seller who thankfully lived near me and arranged a time to meet and pick up the books. He had more he said so I ended up visiting his apartment. Inside this guy had longboxes stacked about 6 feet high and took up the entire apartment. I got to sit there while he brought out a stack of his Valiant short boxes. I left that apartment with a stack of Rai 3's about 8 inches thick, Rai 4's about a foot high and almost half a short box of Rai 5's and a bunch of misc pre unity books, all for $40 bucks. It was a magical evening. Haven't had another like it but I'll never forget how excited I was that night.

I'm excited to hear what the dentist finds for you. :thumb:

PS. Moral of my story is always follow up with ebay sellers who live near you and see if they have any other valiants for sale. You just might get lucky.

Good luck on the find Elveen. :thumb:

I'm just happy that someone goes to the trouble to preserve any valiants. Here's hoping you hit the motherload. :hope:
