That makes two of us...I figure once I saw his name up there I knew it was over for me.

What really made my stomach turn was he won the same item from the same dealer a week before. I'm afraid if the comic shows up for the third time he'll blow me out of the water...again.
Which book was it. If it was WaltWang I should have kept my mouth shut about receiving Ink's books and maybe he wouldn't have bought from Wang again. Hindsight is 20/20.

I'm not sure anymore. He out bid me sooooo many times the past two weeks (by about 30 bucks)! A few must have been from WaltWang.
As much as I would have kept mistakenly shipped items, my guilty conscience would have gotten the best of me. On the other hand: Ink you suck :) (just kidding)

Nah, I don't think either of them were from Walt.

How about this one? :?
AA 0 Gold
$22.76
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... &rd=1&rd=1

"Its only defect is a small tear to the front cover at the lower left hand side at the spine and a light outward crease at the upper left spine area."

Pretty high for such a low grade.

I got the HARDCorps 1 gold, Magnus 21 gold and Turok 1 gold from that recent slew of golds that was up, between $10 and $13 each. A little more than I remember them going for a while ago, and DEFINITELY more than I have spent for all my other gold books (combined?), but still within what I am willing to pay for those.

There are handful of guys that have been pushing prices over the top on ebay lately. Here (who I believe) are the 3 top guys, its funny that they were the only ones that bid for this one item. Take a look at what the price eventually sold for:
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0124381074
(Thank God I already have this!)

Decided to roll the dice. I really wanted the #1, but when I saw the bid was this low, I went for it. ;-)

I've noticed in the last couple of months there seems to be an increase in the number of buyers who previously showed no interest in valiant. I wonder how many of them are dealers and/or speculators......... :hm: A few of the new bidders have ebay stores so flipping is the likely motivation.

Yeah, and they'll be coming out of the woodwork if/when the Harby HC goes over well.

Nice pickup on the Rai 0 -- you got it for the cost of slabbing. Not bad at all... :thumb:

I just don't get how I can get a CGC 9.8 of a book & at almost the same time the book goes HIGHER raw in another auction. It's just madness...
