What appears to be the variant cover art for the first issue posted sometime this week at TFAW. Nice.

Just something I came across while looking for some stock photography one day at work a couple years back. I thought it might be fun to make portraits of the valiant characters using bits of photographs. Then I needed an avatar and thought well why not use that. It was fun to make though I had never realized how different He looked depending on who the artist was. My favorite image of him is the cover of Eternal Warrior 6 so thats what I had in mind. The tats I kinda fudged on, mainly for expediency. I was just playing around to see if it would work.

The variant is pretty cool but not as cool as the regular cover.

Thanks John. I've noticed issues 1 and 2 aren't in the top ten on Mail Order Comics. I didn't expect them to be, but ya never know!

I predicted between 20,000 and 30,000 for issue #1 of Solar.

That puts the monthly ranking between 68-101 for the top 300 comics for the sales month of May.

I used numbers from: www.comicsbeat.com

And compared them to the most recent month's figures listed here:

http://www.comicsbeat.com/2010/05/04/dc ... arch-2010/

As usual, these are just estimates and predictions from readily available data and information.

Sounds like a good estimate. (Someday maybe I'll learn to use the quote feature.)
