my suggestion of Madman was kind of tongue in cheek. the look is horrific, though I did like the characters premise (and the Hulk: Countdown, storyline)
But Random and Cyber were two of the worst offenders of 90's anti-hero cliche imo. Both sadly from the Peter David X-Factor years. sigh.
my favorite villian from the same title...he was only in a few panels over the early David run...gah, I can't recall him. it was funny. nm.

Paul Kirk? A favorite character for me, not sure about the obscurity. The Manuhunter stories were among the first to make me notice the creators.PhoneyBone wrote:Does the original Manhunter from DC comics count as obscure? Manhunter is definitely obscure. Even though the series by Walt Simonson is highly acclaimed, it was very short and the character never appeared again.PhoneyBone wrote:Does the original Manhunter from DC comics count as obscure? BTW, if someone here has never read this, I would recommend it---it is an excellent series and can be bought as a tpb.

Wildfire?dave wrote:I like that one guy in Legion who can fly and he shoots flames out of his hands and feet. Don't even know his name though. He just has a nice design, don't know much about who he actually is....

Yeah, I'm a big Legion fan, but I never really cared for him because he just wasn't interesting enough.dave wrote:Yep, that's him. I liked him as a kid. I couldn't find him before because the picture was a different costume.
He seems to be a one trick pony though..."I'll just vaporize myself and save the world!"
"Oh look, all that's left of him is his suit!"
Will he ever return?

True dat Chiclo. The Royal Flush Gang always seemed incredibly lame to me!Chiclo wrote:I haven't read their early appearances (at least I don't think so) but they never came off as very menacing.superman-prime wrote:I like the royal flush gang in batman thats pretty obscure
I mean... McDuffie's crappy JLA line-up beat on them like a punching bag right before Blackest Night.
They always seem to be villains that turn up to show just how easy it is for the new/changed hero/team to take care of!

I read a few as a young lad, which I suspect may have been written by Shooter.Lightning Strike wrote:The first issue of the new series just came out, you should give it a tryStarBrand wrote:I haven't read much LOS.Lightning Strike wrote:It most definitely isStarBrand wrote:Is this a real character?slym2none wrote:Matter-Eater Lad
