Yeah, I would like to see a mini series introducing the new VU.

you all are forgetting something.

What if Christopher Priest doesn't write Q&W?

and MD Bright doesn't do the art?

TWO very important factors I'd say. :hm:

we can all live without the Spider Aliens and please please no more HARD Corps, Timewalker, or Secret Weapons books …
rjrjr wrote:I would like to see 4 titles at first:

X-O Manowar
Shadowman
Bloodshot
Harbinger

I believe the above 4 titles are the strongest titles in the line.

The next 4 titles would be:

Armorines
Ninjak
Rai
Eternal Warrior

The final 4 titles would include:

Timewalker
Archer & Armstrong
PSILords
HARD Corps

I'd like to see the line work up to 12 titles over the course of 2 years.

Time walker has the potential to tie the universe together. I don't think he should have his own title till the company is doing very well, but he should play a pretty significant roll. He could be the thread that weaves the universe together.

Spider-aliens I could take them or leave them. But they were pretty important to the original universe. Unless you want a total reboot you have to have them. X-O fans will not go for it I think.

Agreed. I don't think he should ever get his own title, but he would be a good character to start things offf with.

Ivar and Colin King are two characters I don't think are strong enough to support their own title. I feel the same way about the Psi-Lords and the Armorines.

We will be getting a total reboot.

It will be a reboot in the sense that Ultimate Marvel was a reboot of the Marvel Universe.

At least, that's my understanding.

Maybe the Spider Aliens don't have to be completely spider-ish, but aliens that are slowly infiltrating Earth using corporate maneuvering as their main tool is a nice counterpoint to a barbarian with the most powerful weapon on earth, especially when he is the only one that knows about the invasion.

My feeling about this is really they shouldn't have been titles on there own to begin with. Honestly I think since it's been 15 years since most of these titles have gone and left us they weren't good ideas.

But that was comics then, Valiant expanded to meet not only the demand of the comic buyer but to show retailers you still a viable company by releasing new titles and demanding more shelf space regardless if the title deserved a spot or not.

Lets not forget they were the number #3 company at one point.

If only we could get rid of the damn name, or make it the name of something. instead of the character.
The Ninhak concept is ok. But when you make it what it should be, how do you not end up with Bloodshot? There has to be something better than that.

I think Timewalker was one of Valiant's best titles and was the title I was most disappointed in losing back in the Valiant era. Put Timewalker into an anthology as a fixed ongoing serial with other characters being featured in the other serials related to the main Timewalker serial. The potential is huge. HARD Corps was a decent book as well and could have benefited from one of the big guns, Bloodshot or X-O Manowar, being on the team. I agree with you about Secret Weapons; I did not think it was a good book.

I like some of the suggestions I'm reading. I still believe Quantum and Woody would do better if it was not attached to the Valiant Universe.

I love the Spider Aliens. I'm so sick of every alien looking like humans in every sci-fi show (V, Battlestar Galactica, Star Trek, War of the Worlds Second Coming, etc.) The Spider Alien's original look is appealing and creepy. I'd like to see them keep the look.

It's *SQUEE* like you guys that cost Gunny Lewis his job. :!:

That being said, I suppose I could deal with the Armorines being supporting characters instead of having their own book. Whatever it takes to keep them in the Valiant universe.

Oh, they deserve a presence. I just don't think they are strong enough to carry a series that spotlights them.
