The new Previews (#283 April 20012) has a pic of the Harbinger 1 QR variant.
Looks like it will be the Toyo Harada cover as partially shown on Tumblr!

Here's quick pix of Valiant's June 2012 solicitations from Previews.
The QR variant book is kinda hard to see but you get the idea.
I'm sure a full size quality image will be online before long.
DAN
Also, looks like the variant cover to X-O Manowar #2 is by Arturo Lozzi.

Awesome, thanks! A little hard to see, but since we've already seen the top half my imagination can do the rest.
I actually really like that X-O #2 variant...another 1:20, 1:50 pullbox? Anyone know?

I think I'm going to have to get this Previews too. It's nice to see they've added voice bubbles to the image previews.

hmmm....seems Harada is a bit younger than the original. Obviously it would be hard to make him a WWII survivor still, but he only looks to be in his 50's here.

How old was he supposed to be in the original? I thought he was around 50 then too.BugsySig wrote:hmmm....seems Harada is a bit younger than the original. Obviously it would be hard to make him a WWII survivor still, but he only looks to be in his 50's here.
I'm guessing if he was in WWII then that would have made him 70?

Updated the first image... you may need to hit the "F5" key if you aren't seeing all 4.

Looks like he's still an old, old man if he was 18 in 1951.

The preview scans of Harby #1 put him in China in 1951 at age 18. That would make him 79 years old. Not exactly how the cover makes him look, but who's to say that is present day Harada? Or ol' Toyo is investing in a lot of botox and multi-vitamins. He has the $$$ after alletos45 wrote:How old was he supposed to be in the original? Maybe Toyo has retarded the aging process on his exterior somehow.

In Rai #0 we found out Harada eventually figured out how to transfer his mind into other bodies.MarrowMan wrote:Maybe Toyo has retarded the aging process on his exterior somehow.

Maybe he's got like a "Sixth Day" set of cloned bodies (all of him at his prime 30-40ish) and just uses those?

Okay, okay... so Harada had a twin brother (Adarah) who was 20 years younger than him and he transferred his mind into his twin's body when he started getting older. It makes perfect sense if you don't think about it.greg wrote:In Rai #0 we found out Harada eventually figured out how to transfer his mind into other bodies.MarrowMan wrote:Maybe Toyo has retarded the aging process on his exterior somehow.

For some reason, I immediately thought of a Jackson Browne song.

Ditto.Daniel Jackson wrote:Now that's a cool cover.
I'm gonna have to disagree with you guys about the thought balloon cover, I like it. When I see it, I'm compelled to read it and I think non-valiant fanboy browsers will be too.
But then I'm a sucker for those old comic book covers with the heroes exclaiming something absurd which makes you want to know how the heck the story reached that point.

What is that? Is it a movie poster? It says "in theaters and IMAX in December. I recall reading that Paramount was planning something with Ratner, but that's not for this December, is it?

That's the movie Poster for Mission Impossible IV : ghost protocol (probably the best of all the four movies)jmatt wrote:What is that? Is it a movie poster? It says "in theaters and IMAX in December.
