Heroes Ae Here in Goldsboro, NC ordered 10 copies for the shelf and had sol 5 of them by about 11am this morning. The owner, Adam, said, "How many times have these characters been brought back?" indicating that he is anxious about investing in this line as a retailer and skeptical about its success.

I committed to 250 but my shop owner let me slide it down to 150 since I had such a hard time screening them and he was certain he could wholesale them to other shops who are sold out.

I would have taken all 250 if I could have found that many 9.8 candidates, but the owner wanted the extra 100. I ended up buying an extra Voice and a few extra Aja's from him to get close to the number of varaints I wanted to have based on the original 250.

Dream World Comics in Simi Valley, CA is sold out.

I picked up the one copy they had on the rack, just in case they messed up my pull list. Turns out they had it, so I put that copy back on the shelf and the girl remarked, "Oh, I'm almost sold out." I went back today for FCBD and the other copy was nowhere in sight.

Black Cat Comics in Sugarhouse UT was sold out today. I got the pullbox version but they said they sold out the day of. They said they order a few dozen and waiting to see if they got more.

But at least I got mine!

Forbidden planet Cambridge uk sold out, but there ordering system is rubbish. They move stock between store ect, and only order through the main shop in London. Where the order is ripped apart and they are sent whatever london feels like.

It should be cover price. Your retailer is a *SQUEE*.

Perhaps...but maybe they just did not know...was anything made clear from VEI?...will go back and ask them before calling them *SQUEE* -pumps

Actually it has, the problem is, he doesn't have an account with diamond anymore, so he gets his comics through another retailer, which at times causes his shipment to be altered, he never has variants, and if it's hot (Saga) and the other retailer got shorted, then his customers are just *SQUEE* out of luck. I only use this shop because it's only on the other side of town, oppose to me having to drive to the next town over, but after this last incident, I'm realizing that the drive is definitely worth it...

yesterday when i was at my comic shop for FCBD i went and checked to see how many issues of X-O Manowar they have left and they have just 3 or 4 issues left.

and the variants are gone.

capital city comics in madison is out...went in Saturday for FCBD, asked about it...one guy went and checked the rack (which I had already done) and said "hmm, must be out". So when I was checking out I checked with the owner, he said " I have one more back here was saving it for myself" and sold it to me for cover...was the pull box variant. He told me he hadn't ordered very many, was going to wait for the "consumer" reviews...

When I called Kowabunga comics in Oconomowoc the guy I spoke with said they hadn't ordered any...which is surprising since one of the owners of that place is a member here...

Planet Chaos in Ft. Atkinson might have some...didn't make it there

Westfield comics in Madison is where I put in my preorders...

I went on Saturday to pick up a copy. They had them stacked on a table (presumably to "push" them, the regular and pullbox variants were mixed together. No 1:20 or 1:50 variants that I saw.

Acme Comics in Greensboro N.C. was sold out, including all the variants they had, as well as Parts Unknown in Greensboro, Salefish Comics in Winston Salem, had a few left the last time I called to check on it.

I was in Vegas over the Cinco de Mayo weekend. Visited Alternate Reality Comics on Maryland Parkway (near UNLV) on FCBD. They had 1 copy left in their "pick of the week" display. I didnt see any others.

I checked two stores today that are in Des Moines, IA

Cup of Kryptonite - Received about 20 and sold out (they said they sold the last issue today)
Mayhem Comics - Received between 40 to 50 and still has 10 issues left (6 pullbox and 4 regular)

BIG thanks to Dino & VEI for calling getting more copies into a local store. This owner at Bonanza Books & Comics wouldn't have done any reorders without a prompt call from you guys and will have more copies next week.

I also had a guy THANK me for the X-O recommendation I gave him the day the book came out. He LOVED it and said it was the best thing he read that week.

The first set of variants were gone before I could get the 1:20, (ordered it thru lonstar) the store manager told me he had a guy who'd been waiting for years for Valiant's return, and had the variants added to his pull as well, I've added the 1:20's to my pull list, but I doubt if they'll have more 1:50's of #1....
