I'm still unsure as to whether or not this is an ongoing or a mini, can anyone shed some light on this for me? I'm hoping it's an ongoing since it seems pretty sweet. Also, when I first heart this mentioned I thought it was going to be a huge crossover event which I have to admit kind of bugged me because I wanted Valiant to kind of forge a new legacy instead of just following what it tried to do before in the 90's. I was truly happy to find out that Unity is just the title of an upcoming book and not a universe wide crossover.

I think it is going to be an ongoing, a sort of team up perhaps?
Another thing I found impressive was the narrative at the end on the last page describing the smell of the X-O suit.
It really gave a greater sense of what was happening.

Yeah, some really good descriptions and panel dialogue here. Art looks great. Is that a missile that Aric is holding on the last page??Peter wrote:retrovideogameaddict wrote:I'm still unsure as to whether or not this is an ongoing or a mini, can anyone shed some light on this for me? I'm seriously surprised hawkeyeps hasn't chimed in on the issue. He must off doing whatever it is that Canadians do all the time - drinking beer and playing curling.

Until we know for certain, we have to assume she is both Erica Pierce and is not Erica Pierce. Once the box is opened, only then can we know certain.</Schrödinger>lorddunlow wrote:But it does look like Erica Pierce.
Love the preview for this issue and how it's showing some real world reaction to everything that's been going on. I know, we are reading X-O Manowar because we want to know what happens with Aric, but it's very intriguing to see how the rest of the world is reacting to alien invasions, powerful suits of armor, takeovers in Las Vegas, etc. This book looks great thus far.
Black Science. Lazarus. Birthright. Saga. Manifest Destiny. Deadly Class.

That reminds me of Kirk's eulogy for Spock in Star Trek 2: "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most human."Chiclo wrote:Human but not terran.Phoenix8008 wrote:I find it funny that the alien invaders in Romania are actually humans!chriskay99 wrote:but it's very intriguing to see how the rest of the world is reacting to alien invasions...![]()
It helps if you hear Shatner's voice when you read it.

Which is said with the best of intentions, of course, but when you think about it, is actually rather insulting.dmezynski wrote:That reminds me of Kirk's eulogy for Spock in Star Trek 2: "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most human."Chiclo wrote:Human but not terran.Phoenix8008 wrote:I find it funny that the alien invaders in Romania are actually humans!chriskay99 wrote:but it's very intriguing to see how the rest of the world is reacting to alien invasions...![]()

Utter nonsense. Only once in my life did I find it inconvenient to be in the same room as William Shatner. I should say that any of my posts would flow well in William Shatner's husky baritone.kjjohanson wrote:Which is said with the best of intentions, of course, but when you think about it, is actually rather insulting.dmezynski wrote:That reminds me of Kirk's eulogy for Spock in Star Trek 2: "Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most human."Chiclo wrote:Human but not terran.Phoenix8008 wrote:I find it funny that the alien invaders in Romania are actually humans!chriskay99 wrote:but it's very intriguing to see how the rest of the world is reacting to alien invasions...![]()

I never thought of it that way but you're right -- what Kirk said is insulting. I bet it made McCoy chuckle though.kjjohanson wrote:I imagine that you're just joking, but with the internet, you never know. I was, of course, referring to the quote.Chiclo wrote:Utter nonsense. And now I hear Shatner whenever I read Chiclo's posts
