The value of this book has nearly doubled. I wonder how much of that is influenced by this board.

That one was me. I don't have that cover. Have all the others.

I went to 6 shops yesterday and none of them had any Divinity left.

Way more than I wanted to pay but the print run wasn't huge and this book is just gone.

Dang, I have the regular cover 1st print and the 1:40 cover.

I planned to keep the 1:40 cover and bind the regular cover. Now I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't bind it!

Anyone remember that thread I started a couple years back wondering which VEI non-variant book would go up first? I think we've answered that question. Lol

Agreed. I think the 1:40 is the book to get. It has an iconic cover and it's a variant (the 2 secret ingredients), with the origin moment happening at that specific second in time. LaRosa is best at these types of covers. I'm bummed I missed out on that one. Great cover.

The Archer 1:50 is a terrible cover. Even though it's a tough find and a hot book, I think the art will hold it back.

I was offered a second chance deal on the book that sold for $20. Does that mean that the buyer backed out?

No, not necessarily. It just means they may have more than 1 available.

I'm not saying anything is amiss with the seller, but I am always suspicious of when the highest bidder has such a high 30 day bid history with the seller. Could it be a coincidence? Yes it could be, but when I see 100% bidding history and very low feedback I start to question the seller. Particularly when the seller then offers you the chance to buy the book. I will say this, the feedback left for this seller from other buyers is from buyers with lots of feedback so my suspicion may be unwarranted.

Again I'm not saying the seller is shilling their own auctions they could have multiple copies and are offering you another copy. I'm just saying I'm one to question everything and would probably pass up the offer and let them relist the book and then bid again and see if the low feedback bidder also bids again.

Now he's testing $24.99...

Heck if this keeps up, I may just start offering three at a time and see what happens.

I think at $20 it's already something.
This is their 1st maybe "hot" back issue

Hopefully being a Mini series won't hurt it long term

Yeah, they're gonna need to do something big with it at some point. But I gotta believe that's the point of creating a character such as this. I can see Ivar and Divinity having a lot of synergy as properties.
