What's the deal with NYCC tickets? Are they that hard to get now?
Pretty much, yes. Last year NY Special Edition was a lot smaller, so the line to get tickets for NYCC didn't take all that long. I probably waited no more than about 15 minutes last year, in between other things I wanted to do. Special Edition was also about a week before the tickets went on sale online last year as well, so it was a first chance to get tickets. This year Special Edition was after the tickets went on sale online, and online the 3- and 4-day tickets sold out right away. Some people waited for hours on line at Special Edition only to find that the multi-day tickets were gone by the time their time came up. So they wasted half a show day trying to get tickets (unsuccessfully) for another show that the company runs.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.
