apacseller wrote:Would be fun to see if the Wisdom of the Crowd had said $500 or $2000, I wonder if bids would have gravitated to those amounts. I personally know a few people that were bidding in this auction, but also bidding on this game, and one big buyer that missed this auction a day too lategreg wrote: I think that the "Wisdom of the Crowd" is a very interesting phenomenon, which probably had little to do with the outcome of the auction... except that pointing it out after the fact is fun.Nice catch though, Greg! Cool phenomenon.
I had a good time and I hope everyone else did too.

Lots of fun!

- Especially "dude." And "balls." Those terms work in the tech industry.

I already knew what I was going to bid, so it didn’t affect my bid, although I did think about using the data to determine what others might think of the value. I was going to pick the $1200 number, but someone beat me to it!
And I won this Slab. One of my favorite covers so far.

Congrats on picking up the book. I agree it is one of the best covers. I picked up a 9.8 the week before the auction started and love it.

I'll echo that too. I've been collecting Valiant books for a long time, and this cover is by far one of my faves. I love it!nycjadie wrote:I already knew what I was going to bid, so it didn’t affect my bid, although I did think about using the data to determine what others might think of the value. I just did a quick scan of the list, and $1200 was right in the middle and still available and every number around it for hundreds of dollars was taken, so I spoke for it on a goof.nycjadie wrote:I already knew what I was going to bid, so it didn’t affect my bid, although I did think about using the data to determine what others might think of the value.
