What would a complete master set bring in 2011?
I would say less than your result, but more than half. Just the limited big ticket books still add up to over $1k.

When I auctioned off my VVSS complete set on eBay (back in November 2007), I pulled over $1000 just for them. I was pretty happy that I cashed out on them when I did.
