Dammit.... at least three board members have my phone number now...........dellamorte wrote:I can't make it and if anyone drunk dials me I'll kick you in the nuts at the Chicago show if you show up. Also if there are any cool goodies at the show please get me one (I think I'm the first sucker to ask for freebees so you have to take care of me right? please?)

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

If I end up going and if push comes to shove then I may be able to help one or two folks out.x-omatic wrote:Still trying to find a place.
I have some family in SD but I'm not sure if I would want to expose any board members to them. I don't know if I could live that down.
XO, could you modify your first post to list those that are in, out, or maybe? That would be nice to see.
I need to get off my butt and look into airline and room reservations. I really want to go to this one.

FYI
ALL hotels downtown are booked. If you are going you should secure a place to stay ASAP.
The closest I could get after my other reservation was canceled was the Holiday Inn Express at Sea World. It is about 5 miles from downtown.
Holiday Inn Express. 619-226-8000
rates are 169-189 per night.

Well guys - it is official. I am NOT going to be going to the SDCC.
Things are a bit tight financially and there is no way I can do it. It was questionable for a while, but there is definately no way I will be able to go now. Too many bills and not enough money.
I would love to have the chance to meet with you guys again this year, but maybe next year...

What days does the convention run? What are the 'official' VF.com days?
What days would it be best to fly in and fly out?
How do I get tickets for the con? How much are they?
Other than transportation and a place to stay is there anything else that I need?
If someone has a car and/or a room lined up and is looking for someone to share expenses then please let me know. Perhaps we can coordinate days and travel.

Unfortunately, it's roughly 170 miles from my front door to the convention center....Technique wrote:Actually, shouldn't everybody stay at your house?
