It is! I went way overboard and took the time to collect/assemble/remaster bonus material for each HC, but It is fun! I can't help myself!!IanAlexavier wrote:Dave start with an easy book.. like A&A, or something like that. I'm doing the same thing for A&A, my back cover is a remastered Diamond add though, good reminder on taking off the back cover

When you fill out the binding slip for Librarybinding.com, do you have to fill out both parts top and bottom, so they would have a duplicate copy...I am ready to send off my second batch and I was just curious, previously I just cut the slip in half, but I was wondering why they had two of them on one page.

A better example might be the Valiant Bloodshot. Issue 0 has the acetate wrap-around cover.
What I did was remove the cover, and fold it inside out. Then just included it as a part of the book. When I get to that issue in my Bloodshot book, I can see the entire image as it opens up. For instance, the left hand page is the back cover image and the right hand page is the front cover image.
The gist of your question, I suppose, is do you have to do anything special for acetate covers (and by similarity, cardstock covers) -- my answer is nothing really. A single (or limited number of) special covers should be absolutely no problem. But the more of them you include in a single book, the more "natural" breaks will occur. By that I mean, places where the book will naturally fall open. For the most part, they are not a big issue.

The only thing stopping me is fear, time and money. Maybe a little motivation too. Aside from that - I'm there!IanAlexavier wrote:Dave start with an easy book.. like A&A, or something like that. I'm really looking forward to starting my book binding. And now that I'm starting a new job next week after being unemployed for a long while, I'm hopeful that my paycheck will be enough soon to start sending off a book every once in a while for binding.
I'm thinking of starting with the Chaos Effect crossover. I don't want to start with the titles that are my biggest favorites first, because I assume there will be things I learn about the binding process as I go along and I want my best efforts to be for my best books.
The other reason I'm choosing Chaos Effect is to get a little bit of all the Valiant titles in one book. I've got one of my sons who likes reading some of my Star Wars collection, but only the comic book TPBs. He doesn't like picking up single issues of comics to read. He has said that he'd be interested in reading my Valiants if they were bound though. So I'd like something that can expose him a little to all the titles which were there at the time of CE.
A questions for others about the CE books themselves. In one of the last couple issues of CE (maybe the A&A or CE:Omega, I'd have to double check to see where) there are some word balloons that are not filled in for some reason. I was wondering if this was just me or if it was universal. I know one of the instances must be in A&A because it was the monk challenging A&A as they approached Ladahk(sp?). It seems like there was another instance with more than one word bubble not filled in somewhere, but I'd have to go back through all the issues to find it. I guess my question (besides if all of the printed issues were like this, since I assume they probably were) is whether anyone was able to find out what words were supposed to be in those balloons so that they could be inserted properly?
Then I just have to decide whether to go with a full picture image that LBC is offering now, or to try and make a dust jacket. Decisions, decisions...

Mine cost $19 minus shipping. I bound the complete A&A with the Eternal Warrior crossovers and flipbooks into a single book.dave wrote:It was the A & A book for sure. I'm not saying it's not in any others though.
It's Ladakh btw, since you asked.![]()
How much are we talking to bind say Archer and Armstrong?
