Ok after 7 and half hours of driving back home I have the Litho's NO *SQUEE* person wants now.....I guess.

Simple I was contacted by Justin sometime ago saying he planned on coming to SDCC for ONE reason to give me the Litho's....he was already going to Vegas earlier in the week so the few extra hours drive was really NO big deal.

I was shocked when it seriously happened. Reguardless of what happens with the litho's from here I looked at this a Baby Step for Justin...Thats all. I'm not into looking between any lines here than the simple fact "I have the Litho's"
Justin as to my knowledge was only to secure the printing and delivery of the litho to NY. That was his involvment....period.

If and thats a big IF these are offered to the board it would help out ONE person.....KC. Justin isn't recieving anything from this and I will say this the Litho is VERY NICE the quality is superb. I would be a proud Valiant fan to pick something up like this "IF" this litho is ever released.
Dino went with me to look at them Sat. Night after the Hall closed...He took one of them and said he would call me later in the week about what should happen to them....

I wasn't going to tell anyone that Justin was coming to SD to give me these just in-case he flaked and never showed up. Well he did.... "get over it" I look at it this way .....I have in my possession something we NEVER thought we would see. It's NOW out of his hands and into another Board members. Period. I didn't confront Justin about all the other things because it's NOT MY PLACE to do that...some of you might not like that but I didn't go to SDCC to confront Justin I went there to host a panel and gather signatures from past Valiant/acclaim creators. If thats my bad I'm sorry.

Yes Justin has a ton of things he needs to take care of with board members....this was ONE of those things...It's now done. The only thing I hope is that this isn't the only thing he takes care of.

This is pretty much my opinion here, I really could give a *SQUEE* about Justin's involvement at this point and see these (the lithos) as something that could be positive on the board. I understand John's feelings on this are a little more personal because he's the one who took the major brunt of all the bad feelings in NYC, and I respect that and the major effort he did there, but I think the opportunity is there to "turn a negative issue into a positive issue" for the board, putting all the Justin BS aside and in the background. I am not in any way defending Justin and what he's done, I just don't think we should waist any more time, money, and intellectual energy on him and whatever motives he may or may not have.

I am interested in seeing what Kc's plans are for this and I'll pretty much support whatever he wants to do because his intentions were originally and I am sure currently honorable and I feel that should be supported.

Dino went with me to look at them Sat. Night after the Hall closed...He took one of them and said he would call me later in the week about what should happen to them....

This print would benifit KC not Dino and Valiant Entertainment....if Money is made on this after KC is taken care of for his contribution all the rest should be donated to CF thats the most likely situation...
And one I expect to happen in that very way.....but we shall see. KC has already contacted me with a solution for the Big Apple logo and having it taken care of.

Well if you look real close at the bottem of the litho...it clearly says Copyright Valiant Entertainment......while this is a litho "For Fans....By Fans" it's still a representation of Valiant Entertainment....

Thats the reason.

Yeah, I'd expect that, but I can't read that in the pic up there. So he has to "re-ok" the lithos being distributed? God this is ridiculous that he won't answer anything here anymore.

Guys,

I am VERY appreciative of the fact that Brian took time out of his San Diego trip to help me out by getting the lithos from Justin. I did not know anything about the possibility of Justin beinging the lithos to the SDCC until just before it happened. I guess Brian didn't want to get my hopes up and have Justin tell another lie. I am happy that Justin came through, but to be honest with you at this point I would have preferred to have my money reimbursed. I am not throwing any figures out there, but a considerable amount of money was spent on these. Not being reimbursed the money for these is one of the reasons I did not make it to San Diego this year, but it was questionable before that due to tight finances.

I am working on a distribution solution for these beautiful pieces of artwork. I want to make them available to all the Bob Layton and X-O fans here on the board as well as the people who wanted the chance to purchase them from the NY Comic Convention. John wants no reference to the NY Comic Convention so I am looking into purchasing holograms to cover the logo. That way they will still be nice worthy of framing. I will make an "official" announcement after I have the lithos in hand along with the holograms and shipping tubes. I want to have all my ducks in a row before I sell any of these.

I just want to break even on this project. It was never about the money... As those of you who went to NY know I gave away shirts as well as a 10 print litho set as my contribution to John's show. Both of those were projects that Justin was involved in as well and he came through on them. We BOTH shared the cost of the 10 litho print set and I paid for most of the shirts. Justin paid for some extra shirts to make sure everyone received one. Here is a pic of the litho set from NY:

As far as the involvement of Valiant Entertainment - I received permission from them to print them up and they gave me the legal verbiage to use. Given the negativity that this project has on it at this point I thought it would be wise to get permission from them again to make sure they are OK with me distributing it. Even if no money is made on this fan project they are the copyright and trademark holders of X-O and I will not proceed without their permission.

As I said earlier in this post - I plan on distribution the lithos at some point in the future, but I want everything to be in place before they are offered. Please give me some time to sort all the details out and I will post something as soon as I can on it.

I am VERY sorry for all the grief that I have caused John over these... Justin had helped me out on a few projects before without any problems and I thought this would go smoothly as well. BIG mistake on my part...
