I like Brett Ratter films (and sorry MotA he's much better than Micheal Bay).
I like Red Dragon better than Manhunter (come on lets admit it Manhunter was boring as hell), Rush Hour 1 and 2 were pure fun and X-Men 3 was just fun to watch.

I liked Red Dragon. I though XMen 3 was the least of the 3, but not a bad film. He is definitely better than Bay, who is at best a hack, despite how vastly entertaining The Rock and Transformers were.

I'm still happiest about this line:
Jason Kothari and Dinesh Shamdasani will Co-Produce.

The first two Rush Hour movies were awesome (I haven't seen the third one yet), Red Dragon was awesome, the pilot episode of Prison Break was awesome.
It is a better choice than, say, Michael Bay. But I could think of many better choices.
What is it that people dislike about Bay?

Bad Boys and Transformers were great.

Bay should do the X-O Manowar movie.
I think that XO is too complicated for a movie. There's a lot of backstory and then they would have to develop Aric superfast which doesnt flow with the comic.

I think the movie's going to be great. You know things are big when you see a fan trailer on YouTube. Anyone gonna make one?

Don't know...or if this pushes the "Harbinger" movie back even further....

"Harbinger" isn't listed in his IMDB page profile either...

I never thought Brent would be directing this even when it was announced he would. There are three other films set up for him and that were announced before Harbinger...

Please Get Alex Poyas... :thumb:

I wouldn't worry too much about Ratner doing BHC 4.

The original press release said that the writers are still working on the script, so whatever the director is doing now has no bearing on that.

The other projects Ratner is working on, like the Hefner biopic and BHC 4 already have finished scripts.

Poyas also means Dark City which always had Harbinger like qualitys about it. Severly Underated film. Poyas also equals The Crow, Heather and I watched this in theaters over 10 times (ah young and no kids at the time) Amazing film that was faithful to the material.

(Proyas actually, heh)

I have Dark City on DVD :thumb: (damn, just saw at Wiki that they're releasing a director's cut. Now I'll have to get that one, heh).

I liked the Crow too (though not enough to watch it that many times, heh. Only movie I've watched multiple times at the theater (six) was Return of the Jedi.

According to IMDB he's in talks to direct Silver Surfer. We definitely have a comic book movie-friendly director here, but maybe not for Harbinger.

I think that he might work best for HARD Corps, which if you think about it works off similar themes to the Crow and Dark City.

In the Crow you have a man who returns from the dead to avenge those who did him wrong, while in Dark City you have these alien beings who recreate human's lives in order to help them find a quality they're lacking.

In HARD Corps you have people who come back from the dead to serve the whims of a corporation that is manipulating them.

There are some similarities there if you look for them.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

At least they got the plot description right. The movie poster is for Dreamcatcher's PC game Harbinger. The movie trailer is not about Valiant's Harbinger; it's for a film school production.
"Humans are given powers from omega harbingers to then turn them into harbingers. A young lad finds himself on a course to clash with an older omega who used his powers to do evil."
