I really want to...but wanting to and actually getting there are two completely different things...

I'm going for sure. Already bought tickets (there's 8 of us going). I will only be there Saturday. E-mail me Zach & we'll meet up. Remind me & I'll bring your books. ~Pete

I agree. People tend to hug the coast.

Just confirmed my location for this years show. Booth # 1233, right across from Moondog, around the corner from Metro and Graham Crackers and 2 "blocks" down from the Big Slab Machine more commonly know as CGC. Not bad for a last minute choice, eh?

all right, I'm going to Chicago after not going the last couple years. (Thanks, Joey!)

I'll be there on Saturday, I probably won't bother actively looking for VALIANT books because all the great deals will probably be gone before the doors even open on Friday.

I'll mainly be rooting through cheap boxes and looking for undergrounds. Should be a lot of fun! :thumb:

from what i have been told, we will be setting up on the outside row, corner spot, at the end of the room where the artist alley is set up.

perfect spot if you ask me :thumb:

I may go if I have some time. I'm moving 10 blocks north, and have a lot of moving to do. It would be cool to meet some of you guys that I chat with on the boards. I might have some room if some one needs to crash... I may not have enough room for 8 people though... plus it may be a bit messy after the move. :P

Count me in kids for Saturday. I know that I won't find my dream girl there, but I'll be sure to say to you all when I'm there.

I'm probably going on Saturday, probably drag my girlfriend.
I've looked online and can't find much info regarding getting books CGCd there at the con. I've only read that they only accept modern books, which is fine, but does anyone know the procedure, cost and turnaround time for doing so there at the con?

CGC will have 2 booths there; #s 1334 & 1433.

Here's the link for their event calendar:

http://www.cgccomics.com/events/

Click on the Wizard World Chicago link & it takes you to the submission form for the onsite grading at that convention. It tells you the procedure & goes through costs. I highly recommend filling the form out & printing it off before you go to the con. It will eliminate a bunch of headache & they will be able to process your books quicker. They will only grade moderns & reholders there. They may or may not get them back to you at the show. It depends on how many submissions they get there. If they receive more submissions than they can get graded there then they will take them back to FL for grading & mail them to you. It's first come, first served, so it's important to get to their booth as early as possible.

Here's a link to the convention's home page:

http://www.wizarduniverse.com/conventions/chicago.cfm

Hope that helps. :thumb: Cheers, ~Pete

Are you talking creators or VF posters?

If you are talking about the latter, it looks like this from this thread:

daydreamscomics
Zero
Mr.V
Brother J
OneArmedBandit
Byrneout
IMJ

Are you going to be there, Della?

As for creators who worked on VALIANT, here's some from the Wizard World guest page:

Jim Califiore
Keith Giffen
Bo Hampton
Paul Jenkins
Dan Jurgens
Rob Liefeld (get your Deathmates signed! :o )
Joe Quesada
Marc Silvestri (more Deathmate goodness)
Jim Starlin

I have a both at the Chicago show that I'm selling some of my pre-unity valiants. The booth number is 1448. It's about half way back on one of the sides, across from the hotdog stand. Next to me is a company selling t-shirts. I'll have some pre-unity on the display rack and some later titlies in the $1 boxes.

Hopefully your prices on pre-Unity stuff won't be bloated like most sellers who have VALIANTs on display...

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
