Just confirmed my location for this years show. Booth # 1233, right across from Moondog, around the corner from Metro and Graham Crackers and 2 "blocks" down from the Big Slab Machine more commonly know as CGC. Not bad for a last minute choice, eh?

all right, I'm going to Chicago after not going the last couple years. (Thanks, Joey!)
I'll be there on Saturday, I probably won't bother actively looking for VALIANT books because all the great deals will probably be gone before the doors even open on Friday.
I'll mainly be rooting through cheap boxes and looking for undergrounds. Should be a lot of fun!

I may go if I have some time. I'm moving 10 blocks north, and have a lot of moving to do. It would be cool to meet some of you guys that I chat with on the boards. I might have some room if some one needs to crash... I may not have enough room for 8 people though... plus it may be a bit messy after the move.

I'm probably going on Saturday, probably drag my girlfriend.
I've looked online and can't find much info regarding getting books CGCd there at the con. I've only read that they only accept modern books, which is fine, but does anyone know the procedure, cost and turnaround time for doing so there at the con?

CGC will have 2 booths there; #s 1334 & 1433.
Here's the link for their event calendar:
http://www.cgccomics.com/events/
Click on the Wizard World Chicago link & it takes you to the submission form for the onsite grading at that convention. It tells you the procedure & goes through costs. I highly recommend filling the form out & printing it off before you go to the con. It will eliminate a bunch of headache & they will be able to process your books quicker. They will only grade moderns & reholders there. They may or may not get them back to you at the show. It depends on how many submissions they get there. If they receive more submissions than they can get graded there then they will take them back to FL for grading & mail them to you. It's first come, first served, so it's important to get to their booth as early as possible.
Here's a link to the convention's home page:

Hope that helps.

Booth at Show
I have a both at the Chicago show that I'm selling some of my pre-unity valiants. The booth number is 1448. It's about half way back on one of the sides, across from the hotdog stand. Next to me is a company selling t-shirts. I'll have some pre-unity on the display rack and some later titlies in the $1 boxes.

Re: Booth at Show
Hopefully your prices on pre-Unity stuff won't be bloated like most sellers who have VALIANTs on display...dons100 wrote:I have a both at the Chicago show that I'm selling some of my pre-unity valiants. Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.
