I liked Hard Corps too.
And Eternal Warrior and A&A are a given. Possibly these books can be combined, but Gil and Aram a such different characters. But both need to bee included.
The concept of Rai is also very good.
That would be cool, and if Layton's doing work for VE then Micheline can't be too far behind. Would love to see Dick Giordano do some Valiant work too.ManofTheAtom wrote:Definitely.Ryan wrote:Hell yeah. Energy weapon Rai, not the Blood of Heroes version (IMO).Daniel Jackson wrote:Rai.
But I'd like to see Micheline back on it. That was his series.

I'd much rather have a Gilad book and an Archer & Armstrong comic. I didn't see much point in putting them in one series together.Elveen wrote:Ryan wrote:So what books does everyone agree SHOULD return. A&A was awesome, but I think it would hard for anybody except BWS to capture that magic again. Hard but not impossible.Elveen wrote:

I'm gonna have to go with Secret Weapons. I think a re-vamp could fix alot of my personal issues. But, if they have the original team come back I'd be surprised. It could easily be like many other team books and could just foul up the chronology and other storylines. It's best to leave each title to itself.

please explain.
I do agree, if I was in charge (and had tons of $$$$) I would have an EW and an A&A book.

fully.
but the historical exploits of Aram through time just needs to be done. Even if it was a bunch of one shots or something.

Both Archer and Aram deserve a place in a new VU, no matter what. What that place would be is hard to say. In 'official' VH1 aren't they still in the Lost Land from Chaos Effect?Elveen wrote:

I found that having an Eternal Warriors series severely undercut the uniqueness of the concept as well as took away from the character's stories.Elveen wrote:please explain.

The Archer andArmstrong spotlight issue, for example, completely turned the concept into a joke.
I mean, they had SPACE SHIPS!! Armstrong was piloting a SPACE SHIP.
That was nothing at all like the Armstrong we met in Unity, who was so completely anti-tech and prefered to go to a Speakeasy than fight in a war.

yes... but how often were the three of them all together?
(reguardless, I just want to see these great characters [ and Ivar] back in new stories.)
[BTW, I have never read Acclaim's Eternal Warriors]

It just seems like Gilad and Aram have completely different stories with a different tone. EW was a serious action adventure while A&A was more of a humorous action buddy book. I don't know how well they would mix together.Elveen wrote:Daniel Jackson wrote:I honestly can't see A&A having their own title and succeeding financially for the new VU. It's alright if you're looking for something that has nothing to do with the Eternal Warrior, Archer, Armstrong, or Timewalker, heh.Elveen wrote:I thought a few dudes here have recommended it. Wow, that was fast. What was wrong with HARD Corps? I thought it was a pretty good series. I personally never want to see the Geomancer series again. The original concept of the character got lost when they did an ongoing series. I was pretty bummed with Turok as well. The stuff that happened in Magnus, during Unity, and in the XO books were great. Once he got his own series though, it just was rank. Ninjak and Bloodshot must return, they are pretty neutral characters anyone can get into.
