It's difficult for me not to just say #1-5, as those all had a tremendous impact, but to try to narrow it down a little, I'll say X-O Manowar #1-2: "Into the Fire" and "Kingdom Come."
Like the Magnus, Solar & Rai question, the origin stories were the most compelling, for me, and X-O was no different...and that art!

X-O 1 was my very first VALIANT book.. It has a classic feel to the cover, the art was simple and yet wonderfully perfect, the coloring was different but beautiful, and the story was excellent.. Im sure you can guess I came back for a whole lot more 
Regarding the Unity crunch.. was that the same dinosaur that tried to crap on Armstrong??
