With a list like that (and if not bigger than mine) I think the word 'focusing' is not all together a correct word... for either of us. hahahahahaha

It is like saying the grenade attack focused on Knightt... hehehehe

I REALLY wonder if I will finish even half of these. But for now I have something to work on for at LEAST the next 20 years. (unless Stu sends me more 'stuff' then expand that timeframe) :D

This should be a given and one of the primary rules when collecting DUs.
Not so easy in the UK

Have you tried Ebay ? There are some cheap methods for shipping books to the UK.

That is wher evrything is coming from at present. :thumb:

The relative strength of the GB pound to the US dollar is really helping. When that dies down so will my DU collecting. A little.

Won an auction for some Rags Morales Impact art last week. Apparently a little water damage, but it is from Crusaders issue 1 which I loved and still love re-reading. Also some Who's Who Impact art by him. Can't wait. Thank you ebay.

Hi, I am back to Valiant Universe while checking my collection for a moving, and I discover this topic.

YES! I am a Dead Universe collector, and I sign in! I have always loved the idea of non DC or Marvel universes that could remain alive. Valiant was my favourite (and remains) but I followed other attempts: Impact, Milestone and, of course, Shooter's Broadway and Defiant.

Happy to be part of the team! 8-)

Sometimes I wish that we used the European spellings for words in the States. I just like the look of favourite. I spell theater as theatre just so people will correct me and I can tell them that they don't know what they are talking about. They can walk away thinking that they are better and one day down the road they will find out they were wrong. And I hope they remember telling me I was an idiot and thus that will make them feel like an idiot. Sort of a delayed burn.

Sometimes crazy thoughts like this just circle around in my head, they won't remember will they?

I will officially join the club when I get a full run of a non-VALIANT DU titlle.

The full run isn't the requisite. Feeling the need to acquire more and more DU's is. :thumb:

Wow! I remember reading those in french as a kid. At the time, Marvel Heroes were the only regularely published comics in France (in the now legendary monthly Strange, with painted covers), and the publisher tried to push another universe: this was the Atlas stuff in the monthly Titans. Great rememberings... There were Wulf and Planet of the Vampires superb painted covers. I was really disappointed when, after Atlas' demise, they switched back to Marvel material in this title.

I never saw any original: are those difficult to find? I suppose so...

Bonjour! :D Happy to see that there are at least european Valiant fans here. I have always been very disappointed to feel that I was the only dead universe fan here in France (a tthe time I bought theose comics, I did not wish they remain dead ends, though...). I know lots of comics collectors here but none of them ever shared my interest for Valiant, Defiant, Broadway, Future, and even the DC-connected Impact and Milestone.
Happy to be here, then! :atomic: :atomic:

Oh yeah, read those a while back (wellllllll, I need to finish Fatale). The good thing about these books is that the number is issues printed are very small in comparison so within a few days you could have read the entire universe, especially Broadway.

A friend of mine up in Phoenix (corvetteJim) got me hooked on Defiant promotional items as well. His collection is probably the largest and most complete Defiant collection (not just the books) in the world. He has been VERY nice to me and when I make my way up to Phoenix he always has some extra swag to give me and great conversations.

I really miss Broadway and Defiant comics. Especially Defiant, whose potential was incredible. Dark Dominion and Plasm have given great moments of reading to me.

Thanks for the info about Virgule and other european Valiant and Dead Universes fans, Leon! Great news: another french Valiant fan! :atomic:
