Wow, there's just too many of those crap books in crap graded condition for him to now have done that himself. He must have spent $500 for a $50 return...

1st mistake: buying those books / not properly handling and storing them
2nd mistake: slabbing those books (waste of slabbing fees)
3rd mistake: listing those books on eBay (waste of listing fees)

Looking at some of the books he sold, I'd guess that he doesn't send these to get graded. Maybe he got/gets them at a bulk discount to re-sell on ebay.

Possibility #1: He thought he really had some nice books, didn't know how to grade, and got a lesson in grading the hard way.

Possibility #2: Bought them in a lot of other stuff to get a book he did want.

Possibility #3 Deals in all sorts of stuff, knew of CGC and took a chance.

I personally think #2 is the correct answer. :?

Lonely Books indeed....

I really, genuinely feel bad for the people who sent those books in and paid the grading fee. :(

I sent him a message asking if he'd combine shipping.

I think it would be kind of gimmicky to have a 0.5 slab, but I wouldn't want to pay $6 plus $9 shipping just for the one.

Another one for the odd-ball file.

$9 is just under a flat rate shipping box for Priority Mail from USPS. :?

He said he'd combine shipping for $8.95 plus a dollar more per extra slab.

I might pick up two or four just for yucks.
