Re: POST YOUR HTF VALIANT FINDS ON EBAY ETC HERE !!!!!! : )
So, I got the package of valiant cards in the mail yesterday. All of them are housed in sleeves in a nice binder. I seems that it includes all of the chase insert cards for each Valiant Era, Deathmate, and Unity set. As his auction had stated, the Unity set is incomplete, but only within the common 90 cards. I feel so fortunate to have had the ability to buy this set, since my Valiant cards set prior to this was very minimal.
To share the wealth, I sent my prior collection of Valiant Era and Deathmate cards as a freebie to a board member who hopefully does not have any Valiant cards yet I had some really nice premium cards in my set before as well

Curious how that will affect the other one ending in a few days. Do dejected bidders from this auction vow not to lose again? Or do they say No way am I getting caught up in a bidding war again?

Well I personally can't fault him for that. I have never shipped anything out of the country that didn't end up being a bigger hassle than it was worth. Even Canada. I realize I may just have bad luck, so I'm not blaming the bidders, just finally gave up on dealing with bidders outside the US.
You're right though, the more bidders you allow, the more bids you could receive.
I'm just curious about bidders (the non-sane ones, like me) and their response to not winning an auction.

I am new to the whole ebay/auction thing, but after overbidding and then eventually losing anyway what I do no is just bid the maximum of what I would rationally pay for it, and then if I win I win, if I don't I don't. Now that I understand how ebay works (your max bid is really just whatever the next higher max's bid was + a small amount) it works pretty well and doesn't cause any regrets. It probably helps that I have not been looking for anything super rare though...dbngaa wrote:Well I personally can't fault him for that. That is a very controlled and sensical approach to eBay...and therefore has no place in this discussion.
My extremist, OCD, completionist mind has no patience...for anything really. 7 day auction? Might as well make it a year. No Buy It Now price? You're wasting my time. Thankfully, there is almost always a financial ceiling that keeps me in check. Or somewhat in check. So the two factions battle each other constantly. The one side wants to get a 2nd mortgage and just buy every possible issue I could ever want, while the other side points out that I'd just have to sell it all in a week for food.
Anway, off to watch The Collector!

You've got a lot of good comics listed. I failed to mention the Unity 2000 set. Good luck selling them all!

Re: Re:
The second one ended at $57. Was it the lack of international bidding that drive the price down? Or ending the auction on a Tuesday night? Actually, does anybody find that end times influence bidding? Especially now with all of the automated bidding services you can employ?iggy101us wrote:Ended at $78. Valiant Voice #16 $10 BIN. Seems a little high but these late issues rarely show up for sale.

Valiant Voice Complete Set
Figured I better post this before Iggy saw it and beat me to it. I only need 3 of these (14,17-18) so when I win the auction (if? I'm going to stay positive and say when), I'll put the rest up for sale here.

Not very often you see a compete set, should go for a pretty decent price.
