Let's try it again. Shadowman/EW project eBay auction.
I have some bills to pay so I'm auctioning off the rest of my current VfVss projects. The projects will be the Shadowman/ Eternal Warrior and the Harbinger hardcover.
The Shadowman/EW is on now.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0245124658
I'll put the Harby up later this month or next.
As far as feelings go about this particular matter, I only have this to say:
I know how you guys feel, and you know how I feel. Let's leave it at that.
Agreed?

I was considering selling the X-O prject book to help Knightt's CFF effort. I'll check the book when I get home if people are interested.dbostejano wrote:ok thanks for the quick response. good luck on your auctions.steverino wrote:Yeah, I am. You know how people feel, but that doesn't prevent you from doing it anyways. So, that's not going to prevent me from saying something about it. Turnabout's fair play, after all. Part of the price of taking the profit. If you will list despite the feelings of others, surely you can handle some criticism in return. What's good for the goose and all.
That's kinda like the guy who mugs you saying "look, I know how you feel about this, and you know how I feel about this. Let's not put up a fight then, shall we?"
No amount of "let's not cause any trouble now, here" manipulation is going to change that.

When are you going to be done taking huge cash payouts from this community....?

Work and the family is more important than the comics man. I'm sure you'll find something real soon.steverino wrote:I hope so too. Work's been short here lately.cobra_commander wrote:Sad to see you've gotta sell 'Rino. I hope you get the cash you need for your bills
I'm going to fix that soon though.

Ah, it's just that my job has been shorting me out on hours here lately. I'm only getting about 5 to 7 hours average per day. It should start picking up here next week and I can volunteer to work weekends, which of course, I will.cobra_commander wrote:Work and the family is more important than the comics man. But I've already had to let my phone bill slide and I don't like letting bills slide.
As far as the comics go. These projects... they're awesome. Really, they are. But I won't miss them much. I'm just not wired that way. I've always been a fan more than a collector. I've got to take out a comic and read what's inside of it or open the bag and look inside to see the goodies.
I'm one of the few guys to open up the Superman #75, the death of Superman because I just had to see what the goodies were. Yeah, the book was worth about $75 bucks at the time and mine was now practically worthless, but what the hey, I got to see the goodies!

It was worth it.

Well, I'm sure folks read this and say, "I can't say anything because I have never been there." But, I worked for a company up until a year ago (for 10 years I might add), that cut my hours down to 23-30 hours per week. I've got a young daughter (She was 4 months old when this started, and I was a board member at the time), and it was tough. But, things like this didn't make their way onto the block. I didn't really have any projects, but I had other things of emotional attachment including some valuable Doctor Who items, and a signed copy of Bill Shatner's Memories book. (Yup, I'm a Trekkie boys, let the jabbing commence.steverino wrote:Ah, it's just that my job has been shorting me out on hours here lately. I'm only getting about 5 to 7 hours average per day. I guess I just wanted to say this just in case you think all my words in the past were without merit, or unchallenged, or that I couldn't understand what you were going through.

Just out of curiosity. When you were in that unfortunate situation, was there other stuff you had to sell?whovianone wrote:Well, I'm sure folks read this and say, "I can't say anything because I have never been there." I only ask because maybe 'Rino has less stuff to sell.
