Jacked on Ebay for Harby#1-2

Post by VEI Reborn »

Looks like I got screwed today. :o

I won an auction on ebay ...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=025

It says Harby#1 and 2 would be included. It even has a picture of Harby#1 and low and behold, it comes with Harbinger Files 1 and 2. Fock! This batch should have gone for $3-4 not $25+

Im pretty mad right now. I sent the guy a message asking for what I paid for but I doubt I will get it. I will wait to here back before I leave negative feedback.

As of right now....Buyers beware of thephoenixofwestchester

If you get some time, can you explain how I would do this? I have never had to :!:

That sucks. If you paid via Paypal, go through Paypal.

Base on the description and picture in the auction, this is pretty much intentional fraud. You should definitely report this to Ebay and file a PayPal dispute if he either refuses to negotiate with you or you don't hear back from him within a few days.

definitely file a Paypal claim too. The eBay complaint will just get him a slap on the wrist but the Paypal claim will get you your money back.

Thanks everyone!

I will give him until tomorrow to reply [24hrs] and than I will see what ebay/paypal will do.

I hope it was just a mistake in when they boxed them up...which was horrible btw. They just tossed the books in a box that barely fit and tossed a tad bit of packaging in the box. No bag/board and no protection at all. Some of the books got banged up pretty good. I was expecting reading copies as it says in the disruption but these are for sure reading copies now

I had a few other auctions with him that all shipped in this same box. Im glad it wasnt anything expensive :!:

Looking at some of the negs, this isn't the first time he's sent someone the wrong item.

Sometimes getting jacked costs a lot more than that . . . but it usually has a happy ending . . .

Well my internet connection has been down all day. I just got an email back from him saying its their fault and I could either send the batch back for a full refund [with my shipping costs included] or I can take a $10 credit.

WTF. Where is the Harby#1 he had in his picture. Scam artist for sure

Yeah, I think he was trying to pull one over on you and it backfired on him. Be sure to point out what he did in the feedback so others will have a heads up before they bid.

I would demand the book or a full refund with shipping both ways and report him for scamming and smack his feedback

As said in my previous post, this is a blatant intentional fraud. There's really no way someone can make a mistake like that especially when you have the scan of Harbinger #1 in the auction. His response alone pretty much sums it up. So a full refund or a $10 credit? So where is the Harby #1 pictured in the auction? He has no intentions of sending the winning bidder a Harby #1. I would first ask for a full refund and make sure he pays for the return shipping. Afterward, neg him hard with as much details you can put in and file a complaint with Ebay against him.

I sent him a reply pretty much bashing his day lights out. I couldnt hold it in so Im not sure if he will still offer a refund. :?

Im going to contact paypal and ebay either way to let them know what this dude did and I will leave some nasty feedback as well.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I havent bought much on ebay until a few months ago, but I have been a member for 12-13 years I think. I never had anyone pull something like this :!:
