Prototype...

Post by Knightt »

oh mama, saw a VERY nice game video of this today and it has got me psyched. I will be getting this, probably for Father's Day but get it early like as in June 6th or is it the 9th that it comes out ? Either way, I'll be playing this bad *SQUEE* game when it comes out. And if you pre order it from GameStop you get a figure... it looks pretty sweet.

It has an InFamous look to it but the whammy for me is the 'infection', fighting the military and just the whole gruesomness of it. Cutting guys in half, 'absorbing' people collecting their mass and memories.

Anybody else going to be getting this ?

Hruuumph... a bit disappointed in the graphics on this one. Looks like the old X-box graphics. NICE cut scenes though. Gotta play it a while longer to really get a feel for it.

But as of right now ? InFamous beats it out. But in comparison, InFamous is a relatively slow paced (or at your pace) game versus [Prototype] is balls to the wall, all out carnage, fast paced, no time to smell the intestines you've just covered the road with kind of game.

Well just last night there was a 22 meg PATCH already out for the game (at least PS3 users). I didnt have any problems in the first place but maybe I am on crack but I swear that the graphics look MUCH better now as well. I dunno, whatever it is.... I played until 3 am and had to get up at 5:45 am to do a teleconference at my house.

I might be coming out to Virginia June 24th and then later 11-12 August, in the Fort Belvoir area. Any boardmembers live out that way ?

OK off to TOTALLY slaughter some people, soldiers... oh wow, is it gory and NOTHING pretty about 'absorbing' somebody. WHEW

OK, I pre-ordered [Prototype] and it was to come with a map of critical memory nodes as well as a 7 inch plastic figure... I picked up mine after work and mysteriously all the figures were GONE. I thought no way could they be GONE, they send enough for the pre-orders. So, I go home with just the game and the map and check Ebay where figures are going for decent money for something that was free... not bad money...

http://cgi.ebay.com/NECA-Prototype-Alex ... 1|294%3A50

So anyways, I call up Gamestop today and make a very nice 'complaint', the girl gets a number off my receipt and says, 'you can expect your Prototype figure in about 3 business days, sorry for the inconvenience OH and by the way, I'm sure if you go to your local Gamestop this coming Monday, you can snag another one as they have you on a list for not getting one.' I ask 'isnt that kinda wrong?' And she says, 'the way I look at it, we did not deliver what was promised and to keep you as a customer (going on 5 years now) why not get a bonus every once in a while.' Then she said she was going to send me a $20 Gamestop gift card for being so nice on the phone while making a complaint. A lot of folks had the same thing happen to them and were nasty, like it was her fault... I guess being the nice guy DOES pay off every once in a while. :thumb:

Pre-order on Batman Arkham Asylum here we come !!!

Yeah nobody gives a $hit

What exactly is this game?
Guy... wakes up in morgue. Used to be part of 'some organization', someone is responsible for his memory loss and his newly gained ability to morph his body into weapons. He can also 'absorb' people which is their mass AND their memories. There is an ultra secret military presence that are out to get you... want to fly a helicopter ? Absorb a pilot !!! Hack the $hit outta people, the military and THEN these 'creatures' show up....

Let the bloodbath begin.
