Henchmen fight them but [insert hero/group name here] fends them off and makes it to centre of facility where they are confronted by [insert villain/group name here].
There is some cliched posturing and forced dialogue between [insert hero/group name here] and [insert villain/group name here] and they fight over a series of disproportioned and badly perspective laden splash pages (10 minimum).
[insert hero/group name here] eventually beats [insert villain/group name here] and aquires [insert name of artifact here] and then heads back to base for debrief.
When [insert hero/group name here] returns to base their boss (in exaggerated military uniform and smoking a fat cigar) confronts them for going against the plan but [insert hero/group member name here] comes out with a "witty" quip and they part ways.
{insert hero/group member name here] is seen getting into bed with a woman with a waspish waist and massive breasts and they pull the covers over them.

Thanks Blood for the pic—that’s hilarious. You would have thought the inker or colorist would have at least caught this.
As far as Liefeld goes, it’s kinda like watching Night Rider reruns. At the time I thought he was great but now when I look at his stuff it’s so dated—his work just doesn’t hold up too well.
That aside, I would like to collect his New Mutants run and I have his Hawk and Dove mini which I think is well done.
Truthfully, I think Liefeld is an average artist. It was his characters—namely Deadpool and Cable—that made him a superstar not his artistic talent. Unfortunately he had a lot of promise but his fandom came too soon—he was too young and need more years to perfect his craft.

But he is "Liefeld" love him or hate you know his name and that will still sell books.BloodOfHeroes wrote:Actually, it was the inker who put in the extra finger, IIRC.
Liefeld draws much better than I. It's just that there are so many more talented artists who can't catch a break whilst Robbie L keeps getting work. I dunno.
