I really enjoyed the Giffen run on Justice League (I, A, and E). For me there were some laugh-out-loud moments in those issues. What are some other books that fit in that mold?
I have a lot of Peter David's Hulk run. He's always prone to stick in a laugh or two in his work. There's one issue of X-factor that he wrote that has an incident where they had thought Jamie Madrox had died that still makes me laugh.
I recently picked up Quantum & Woody. I am really enjoying it more than I expected.
I'll have to check out Irredeemable Ant-Man.
With Deadpool, any particular series or run stick out? I have the first mini from back in my collecting days.
I always loved Spider-Man cracking on his enemies while he's beating them up (and sometimes getting beaten up) when I was first buying comics. I don't know if he still does this, but I know Deadpool took over the reigns there for a while, along with the weirdly-familiar Agent X.
Gail Simone wrote Deadpool and Agent X like no other ever could or can, IMHO.
The Incredible Hulk #390-#393 and X-Factor #76 The Hulk wearing pink bunny slippers and carrying a very big gun and doing an impressions of Clark Kent and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
If you liked Giffen and DeMatteis on JLI then you will love the Defenders miniseries they did. There is also the GLA miniseries that is done in a similar style to theirs.
For laugh out loud, try True Story, Swear to God. Really funny stuff and touching in places.
