Any Madman fans around?
So CBR posted an interview with Mike Allred a couple of days ago in conjunction with a new giant-sized Madman special that's coming out next month. I was just wondering if anyone else on the board had any affection for this character.
I can honestly say that if I could only have or save 1 group of comics that I own, it would be my Madman books without hesitation. I found out about Madman back when I was in Jr. High, when Dark Horse's Madman Comics #1 came out, which caused me to dig into finding the TPBs of the previous books. I guess my discovering the character during my super-awkward Jr. High years is what forged such an affectionate connection with that character, and as time goes on, Allred's stories just get more mature and he seems to constantly be working harder to experiment with comics as a medium. That, to me, is one of the hallmarks of the best and most creative talents in any medium.
Anyway, who else has some love for Frank Einstein?!
