DC's Trinity
Hi gang,
I have 1-25, and am looking to read the rest of the run.
Anyone have that for me to read through? Id pay for shipping both ways
I know this might seem like an odd request, but Ive shipped books to people before.. not sure if others are as trusting as I am.
I wont know till I put it out there though

Don't read it. It sucks. Please, for the love of god and all humanity, avoid the pain.

Drift said this was unreadable, which means it's unreadable

I trade as Dead Universe Comics in the UK, which is no surprise to those who know of my legendary Dead Universe habit.

It's a Dan DiDio special, served up with extra heapings of vomit.Draco wrote:Drift said this was unreadable, which means it's unreadable![]()

As bad as I think Trinity was/is, I thought Countdown was far worse.BruceReville wrote:I would rather read Countdown

I do plan to re-read Trinity one day, just to see if it is one of those things that is better the second time around. You never know...

Trinity was *SQUEE*. There is no other way to describe it. I enjoyed Spawn more and I dropped that like it was hot halfway through #3.

Re: DC's Trinity
So, was Trinity the lead up to 52? When I started reading it I thought it might be another Superman/Batman type comic but included WW.. not it seems this is a universe changing event that could have taken place in about 10 books but theyve stretched it out to that magic 52 number...
???

Re: DC's Trinity
No. It ran in 2008-9. The original idea was a followup to 52, but it got pushed back and greatly altered.

I think it's pretty easy to see where TRINITY fits into DC continuity — just look at the JLA. When we first see them in the series, Red Tornado is damaged and his brain is occupying the JLA computers. Shortly thereafter, he's been rebuilt and is back in action. So it takes place around the time that stuff was going on in the JUSTICE LEAGUE book.
That would put the story around the time of Justice League of America (2006) 1-7 - also the cosmic egg from the JLA/Avengers crossover is detailed in the story so after that as well - But it is still a self-contained story in itself so it would fall (all 52 issues) between JLoA 7 & 8 - but when you read it there are alot of inconsistencies.
Also since this takes place after 52 & One Year Later - does that help?

Re: DC's Trinity
Ok guys.. was this someones dream? LOL
Between JLA 7 and 8? Really?
Well, based on what Ive been reading here, it seems that this new start for DC has gone pretty good so far. So Im glad to hear that... will they do it again in 10 years?
Is everyone still happy with the JLA (2006)? Maybe I will pick that up?

JLA (2006) onwards was ruined not by creators, but by evident (and openly proclaimed by one writer) interference from editorial. It appears as though Meltzer had free reign, but McDuffie and Robinson had to twist and continually contort their stories to fit the latest Didio whim. I think both did their best but were really restricted in a way that Meltzer wasn't.
