Is your LCS sold out of X-O #1?

Comics Ink in Culver City (Los Angeles area) had about 20 copies or so on their shelf. Half were the regular cover and the other half were the pullbox variant.

I presume shops are ordering 1 to 1 on the pullbox even if customers didn't actually sign up.

The guy running the shop pulled my three copies (regular, pullbox and 1:20) from the back, but I spent about five minutes searching for the books on the shelves. I don't know, for some reason I had to see them on the shelves to be satisfied. Brought back a lot of fond memories from the '90s.

Bonanza comics in Modesto, has sold out they ordered 20 copies, 10 each of the pullbox and regular covers. As of this afternoon the shelf is empty.

I went in to my lcs to specifically see if they were sold out and they had 9 regular and 9 pullbox left. On wednesday, they had about 20 of each, so sold more than half in about one day. I bet they will be sold out on fcbd day.

Mine had about a half dozen of each and no variants left. Going back on Saturday and expect them to be out after that.

I bought the last copy at my local Hastings in Russellville, Ar today. BTW: I like the story very much. I hope the 2nd issue is as dynamic as the 1st.

Zapp Comics in Wayne, NJ had plenty on Wednesday, but we'll see what's left after the big sale on FCBD. The owner orders well. If he believes the book will sell he won't run out easily.

Stopped by Lone Star Comics Plano yesterday and they had about ten left. I bought one #1, had a AJA transferred from another location. I was told that they never received there 1:50 which surprised me since Lone Star is the brick and mortar of mycomicshop.com. I will be going to two other LCS tomorrow and I will let you know what I see.

Now I see the reason for putting out xo a week before fcbd.

People have xo on the shelf, people buy it. Along comes free comic book day, they read valiants free edition - come back and ask for xo.

But we have a problem xo has sold out. Needs to have it on shelves to sell more. It has sold out at 42 ooo I am surprised but happy.

Anyone reading fcbd wanting xo will go without. Unless second printing.

Supply demand, if out of stock people want it more. This needs to be on the shelf to get more readers. Hope valiant gets it out their and more people have a chance to read it.
