Could be an error, their site is an absolute mess! I actually like mile high; I've found that they've had some very, very hard to find items at below market prices at times. I've bought books from them on 3-4 occasions without complaints. Now lonestar on the other hand....I refuse to deal with them!

I haven't purchased anything from Lonestar or Mile High, but tried mycomicshop once, and will never do so again. Overgrades large portions of their books and then limits their "free" return shipping to less than what to actually costs.
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

Same for me with mycomicshop. They were very pleasant, but after two order where all the issues were overgraded that was enough.kjjohanson wrote:I haven't purchased anything from Lonestar or Mile High, but tried mycomicshop once, and will never do so again. Chucks price is based on how many he has in stock. So he may not have many of that issue.valiantdude wrote:i get it mile high prices...

Re: Why is XO #1 pullbox $50 on mile high comics?
I stopped buying from Mile High years ago for several reasons, but I've never had a problem with Lonestar (mycomicshop). Now, I'm not concerned with condition or grading for the most part, just price, ease of site use, and fast shipment. They usually meet all 3 requirements for me. For TPBs or HCs that are in print though, Cheap Graphic Novels and In Stock Trades always beat their prices. I can't even find lower prices on eBay most of the time compared to those 2.
I'm sorry, what was the question?

That's true. It's also possible that for new books (especially variants), he has no idea what to price them.ckb wrote:Chucks price is based on how many he has in stock. So he may not have many of that issue.valiantdude wrote:i get it mile high prices...

As a result, he can (and should) start the price at a ridiculously high amount, and lower it systematically if they don't sell.
At some point, he'll figure out what price the market can bear, and he clearly has no problem with unsold books sitting around for decades.
If you're in no hurry to sell, you can wait for the price you want (or eventually determine).

FYI, Lonestar and mycomicshop.com are the same company.

I haven't received my books yet, so I'll update when I get them, but the guy working the back issue department was extremely helpful and pleasant at Mile High when I was hunting down some Manhattan Projects back issues. Found a few of them for me for much less than I would have paid at ebay.

This is America yo! Anybody can put any price on their merch they want!
Even if said price is entirely unrealistic.
What I really hope is that Mile High's pricing is a Harbinger of my future fortune.

He's joking. Impulse is the source of most (if not all) of his Valiant variant goodies.nonplayer wrote:Impulsecreations google itdrmirage wrote:Ahem! Impulse... Whats that

Re: Why is XO #1 pullbox $50 on mile high comics?
I thought I was gonna read a post, Mycomicshop has been terrible, but I recommend Lonestar!400yrs wrote:kjjohanson wrote:I haven't purchased anything from Lonestar or Mile High, but tried mycomicshop once, and will never do so again. I bought some comics once from Lonestar that was a newsstand variant and they shipped the regular issues, and didn't offer any recourse at all. And to top it off they gave a BS excuse that the comic pictured is not what you're gonna get, even though that's a clear violation of ebay's selling policy. So I just ignore them altogether....
