Another excellent issue.

I loved the interactions between the various Renegades and Generation Zero. It looks like Cronos has snapped, though its understandable why, and is going to pose a problem to ending the standoff peacefully.

The flashbacks were great. Interested to see how PRS avoided being destroyed by Harada.

And another cool sequence by Clayton Crain.

Agreed, that was great.

Really appreciate the deeper dive into what is going on in the casino. I hadn't really grasped the number of hostages the Gen Zero kids are holding, and seeing that they have killed the gov't strike teams that already made attempts in really takes the sheen off the "poor innocent kids" vibe I was feeling from earlier issues. Interesting debate, who is truly innocent in all this?

Also love the set up for the inevitable conflict when Bloodshot and his group arrive on the scene. It was hammered home just how absolutely terrified these kids are of him, and who can blame them? No doubt that will lead the Renegades to side with them, and I can only imagine that the H.A.R.D Corps are going to make this situation go from bad to worse!

One gripe... can we make a decision on Torque's hair? Black then blonde... which is it?

I would guess its whatever he wants it to be. :? But point taken...I was thinking the same thing. He should be blonde, IMO.

Another top notch issue. Once again loved the 1969 scenes, Trevor is really belting out some great pencils for those. And more awesome work by Khari too - I hope this series becomes his signature book.

Really great dialogue all around, as expected - so funny and cool to see the reactions from the kids to Torque putting on the Metal!!!

My favourite bit was the silent symbolism of Cronos - the blood of his enemies is on his hands, and then literally represented on his own uniform while he tells Peter of his motivations. Simple, yet brilliant. :thumb:

Agreed. I did not want to leave this book. Very well crafted. Dan pointed out to me that all of the strike team members had been hog-tied - so I guess they were tortured first, judging by their faces - and not killed outright in an assault. Christian is even more disturbed than we thought. He is a product of inhumane activation methods and abuse. Sad.

Cronus has been raised like a bully's pit bull, he has a good heart but he is vicious. This whole scenario is really turned up to 11 and if and when Harada and HARD Corps show up S will really hit the fan!

And yeah you totally got a shout out BTE :high-five:

Generation Zero is a little ruthless.

Loved the interaction of the Telic and Torque. Anyone else get the feeling she might be into him a little?

I can't believe no one has mentioned the "these are not the droids you are looking for" line. So funny.

Great issue. Loved the dialogue.

I like that Pete wants to do what he can to help, but isn't quite sure how.

The Telic is kind of a "hottie", but as I admit that, I'm not sure if I'm more disturbed by the fact that she's fifteen or that she's a fictional character!

In Greek Mythology, Cronus was known for eating his children. That doesn't give me hope for the GZ kids.

Definitely getting a Rogue vibe from Hive. Maybe Pete can help sort out his head?

Truthfully, I'm finding Cronus to be nearly as fascinating a character as any member of the renegades. That is one messed-up, complex dude.

That was epic. I made mention of it elsewhere online when it was part of last week's preview. So Faith. :)

WOW DYSART outdid himself again! This is really turning into one of the best crossovers I’ve ever read.

This issue brought so much great dialogue and insights to these characters. When you REALLY understand these characters and how they think and WHY they are the way they are – it really makes the action, the fights, the pain, the deaths all the more impactful and enjoyable. I think the word for this issue for me is extremely satisfying; the few things that were bothering me were explored and left me with a better understanding of where these characters are coming from.

Cronus and the Gen Zero kids seem a little too inhumane and thoughtless when it comes to killing? Cronus lays out his feelings on this pretty clearly and that beautiful Crain page where he is beaten to a bloody pulp by Bloodshot delivers the message. This is a kid who is extremely smart but has endured so much torture and psychological damage over the years, and now that he is free the kids under his care mean more to him than anyone else in this world. And living with the very real reality that death is literally a finger snap away would make you lose perspective.

Any fallout from Kris shooting up PRS soldiers? And with Peter killing so many people? Yes!, Kris can’t sleep at night, and clearly it had a big effect on her. And I LOVED Peters thoughts on this – The people he killed were INNOCENT (To some degree) it’s the people behind the soldiers who are the TRULY GUILTY. This is something that has bothered me with Peter wiping out so many foot soldiers throughout the series so far with such ease … and I LOVE the fact that this was talked about and explored! The whole dialogue between Peter and Cronus is absolutely beautifully written and truly a joy to read.

All of the different conversations were a real treat! Loved the Flamingo and Hive meeting! Hive as I suspected will crack at some point with all of these LIVES he has absorbed. I can see Flamingo with her care-free attitude and flirtatiousness really messing with Hives brain. Hive I would assume is not experienced when it comes to girls and is very impressionable, if Flamingo plays with his feelings, it could be bad news for everyone because he won’t be able to hold back the monsters in his head!

There are so many great things about this issue and I haven’t even gotten to the Torque-Telic meeting, 1960’s Harada (awesome awesome awesome!) There were so many great funny moments to go along with the serious dialogue. Very well crafted Mr. Dysart. And Evans is not my favorite artist but I thought his pages were very good and Hairsine work was perfect and Crain's page was beautiful as always and a nice surprise!

Just so much awesome sauce in one comic it’s hard to even get to it all

9/10 – another great HW issue
Ha! Yeah! Nice! Any of those dudes in your head mosh?! - Flamingo

Not unless you think that kick to the head was simply a love tap! :D

I think the Hive-Flamingo meeting could lead to something more happening between them... Flamingo with a care free flirtatiousness and Hive taking it too seriously because of his inexperience (and the monsters in his head) could lead to a volatile situation.

Well, if Dysart is not reading anything other than his thread (as he stated), then I don't think he would know about our taco obsession.

Anyone else think that the whole "we have bombs in our heads" thing is just a lie that they were told?

Otherwise, you would think the bombs would be programmed to self-destruct in the event they lost communication with the PRS mainframe. A dead-man's switch per se.

yeah, i hear ya. Could lead to something. I think the girl that will truly connects with Torque will be the one that helps him confront who he truly is. Maybe it will be the Telic..
