Walking Dead #100

There are going to be SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS here if you haven't already read the issue, don't read this post! Fair warning!

You know, I thought what Michonne did to The Governor was messed up. But, for some reason, I can't get Glenn's death out of my head. His eye popping out of his head, Negan just doing commentary on the whole thing with a smile, all right in front of the helpless group just having to watch. Maggie. Carl. Everyone else.

Brings to the reality that they thought they were in some state of control, when in reality, that was never the case. You know, for a while, I got really sucked into the whole "what would you be like in a zombie apocalypse" type situation, I was feeling pretty inspired about it, in a strange sort of way, probably like most other readers/ watchers get. "I'm badass, I can take zombies, I could survive, protect my family, yadda yadda yadda."

My heart sank for Rick and the crew in this issue, and for a little while, I was like "when is this going to end?". I may stop reading now. Not sure how much more I can keep going. Kinda shook me to my core a little. Comics don't generally do that to me. But again, that image of Glenn with an eyeball sticking out, and his skull bashed in is sorta haunting me. Crazy...

You need to keep reading. I'm really enjoying (not sure if that is the right word) what Kirkman is doing right now.

Glen's death was tough, but for me, nothing will compare to the death of Tyreese. One of the worst (most effecting) things I've ever read, period!

I lost interest around #100. I've said before that the death of Lorie and Judy was about the worst thing to happen in the series. It was sudden, Glen's was definitely more brutal.
What we need is innovation and even revolution—but not so much in the form of marketing ploys and doohickeys. What is needed is bold creative vision, excellent stories, and brilliant storytelling, in a word, entertainment. -- Jim Shooter

And thats the irony of it all. You can build a garden, you can make a place home, you can have a family, a child, but in the end were all *SQUEE*, full of mash potatos. That squirt out our eye balls. This is the walking dead. And its the journey I love. What will they throw at this group. When things are good or you like someone well thats it say good by. Remember the blond chick in the show she lost her bf and she didnt blink an eye. In a zombie apocalypse are we reall ready? How would you fair after watching your friend of lover meeting Lucille! Chqnges lots for sure. I like negan and am looking forward to his death but not to quick and hopefully Lucille makes fire wood.
I Miss the good old days.
