Solar Alpha and Omega
Okay so I just managed to track down a copy of the complete trade for this. While I think it's a cool novelty of serializing a zero issue throughout a normal run and then collecting it, what was the point of the "worlds biggest comic book panel" I get from a story perspective that it's Solar sucking in the universe but after that...

Not sure there's more to it. OTV has a story about it here.

The largest panel was originally published on the center pages of issues 1-10.
Together they formed that one detailed image - that transitions between BWS's Alpha and Omega (Solar 1-10 backup story) & Second Death (Solar 1-10 main story).
reading order
1. Solar 10 backup story - Alpha and Omega chapter 10
2. Solar 1 - 10 center pages - worlds largest panel - universe is consumed
3. Solar 10 cover - emptiness (end of issue #0)
4. Solar 1 front cover - Solar is reborn, in the new universe (possibly creating other super beings in the process... Harbingers....)
5. Solar 1 main story - "Second Death Part One – No Place Like Home."

Re: Solar Alpha and Omega
It was most likely partially a marketing ploy to keep retailers/readers buying all 10 issues.
I wonder if it was the first mega image a publisher ever did (like last Summer's Armor Hunter 18 part interlocking cover)
