So anybody familiar with a biz care to tell me how much time we have to wait for Bloodshot?

I'm pretty excited about this. It might be hard to capture lightening in a bottle twice with this franchise though. The first movie captured Wick's motivations in a way that will be hard to reproduce. Maybe someone will kill his cat this time - the one that his cat-lady mama gave him and it upsets him.

Well, I don't have any special industry knowledge, but if John Wick 2 is starting filming now and is hitting theaters in summer 2016. And Bloodshot is supposed to come on in summer (presumably) of 2017, then I'd speculate we have about a year till they start filming Bloodshot. Hopefully with some script or casting news between now and then.

Nothing, really. Depends on the editing process, reshoots, etc, but typically a film is completed well before the release and the director's are working on other projects by that time.

So Wick 2 is coming out in February of 2017. Bloodshot could still come out in summer or fall of 2017 and still use the same director. If that's going to be the case, I would expect we've got to start hearing some movie news in the next 6 months. It'd be great if news was released by FCBD.

There are no updates at all on IMDB, so its unlikely that anything has been decided yet.

I don't see that being a problem. Being in a franchise hasn't hurt other actors. RDJ was making Sherlock Holmes movies the same time as Iron Man/Avengers. And Ryan Reynolds has been in both Marvel (at various studios) and DC films. They never held a grudge. The bigger issue getting top talent is how much they're being paid.

The same guys are doing the second movie. I don't think quality control will be an issue and Keanu cares about his craft way more than Neeson when it comes to action movies. Neeson is more of paycheck casher in his action nmovies.
