Newer reader/collector here
My start was not too long ago. I had randomly seen the promo card for the Q&W and A&A crossover and not knowing anything about any of them I decided to put them on my pull. Over the 4 issues I really enjoyed the characters but that was as far as I got with Valiant. Well I ended up getting a A&A book in a comic bento one month and decided to give it a go. Ended up buying the full run of A&A and then right after went for Q&W. Then another month in a comic bento I got unity vol 1. Again I enjoyed it and decided to go head on. So now I am doing a read-thru from the reboot. Currently up to Harbinger Wars and should be able to get a few more books soon if I can find them for less than cover. There is a cool shop near me that does valiant trades at 35% off so I usually find in there what I need, also in their used section. I also decided to try to acquire the full pre-reboot in single issue form but that has just started a few days ago so I have a long way to go. I also picked up 2 of the Valiant masters HC but I understand that they have stopped producing those so ill be stuck with a bunch of Vol 1 books with no hope for continuation,
Currently reading Ninjak, Faith, Bloodshot Reborn, Wrath of the Eternal Warrior and Dr Mirage Second Lives. Anyways, I figured I would introduce myself and check out the boards.

Re: Newer reader/collector here
Thanks all, my readthru from reboot is back on track today. Picked up Harbinger 2 Harbinger Wars and already had Bloodshot 2 so Ill get some decent reading this weekend. Hopefully next weekend I can snag Harbinger and Bloodshot 3. Once I do that I will have a clear shot to the end of Act 3 and a pickup of shadowman 1 will complete it for me. So far to catch up I am on track for July or so.

Re: Newer reader/collector here
Most of us have never done a first time reading as a "binge" of Valiant (2012-present). We waiting the long weeks between issues... for over 3 and a half years now.
I've had a ton of fun "binge-watching" shows on Netflix and Hulu. I wonder if reading comics that way is just as fun?
Anyway, welcome!

I have been doing that for many of the current titles but it can be fun to get through a couple at a time. Especially since its not just book after book of the same characters. Also, its been about 2 books a week for me as I acquire them and then mixing in and re-reading titles I already read like Q&W and A&A. So far its been pretty fun alongside my normal readings.

Re: Newer reader/collector here
extra bonus this week. My Comic Bento had Rai Vol 1 in it. It will have to sit on the shelf until I get it, but its at least 1 book I can cross of the list to go buy. Hopefully I can pick up the 2 I need this weekend and get back to some good reading.

I'm doing that with valiant right now and it really is. Starting from the 2012 run, I've gone through the titles I've wanted to read and am heading into act 4 took me about 6 weeks and I'm hooked!greg wrote:Most of us have never done a first time reading as a "binge" of Valiant (2012-present). Welcome! Do you primarily read comics in trade form, or is this a special case as you're working on catching up to each title you try? By the way, that's cool you're getting random Valiant trades via a Bento Box program

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

It is. Especially TWD for 4 hours straight into the middle of the night with just a small light to read by.. Then you go outside alone into the cold darkness at about 2-3am for a few minutes..greg wrote:Most of us have never done a first time reading as a "binge" of Valiant (2012-present).
