The Valiant on Amazon, perfect score!
I have been catching up on reading over recent months, as I was 3 years behind. The Valiant surpassed Divinity as my favorite to this point. The 4-issue mini is fantastic. I jumped on Amazon to see how it had been reviewed after reading it. 26 reviews, 26 people gave it 5 stars. It is very difficult to find anything with that many reviews and perfection. Just thought that was of note.

I promise you all 26 reviews were board members.

It's excellent. Art, story, dialogue...everything.

At least they are giving an opinion of what they like. Never know... might get someone else to buy it and actually enjoy it.

I'm not sure if all 26 are board members. I can say that ordered from Amazon, read and gave an honest review.

Lol, I didn't include mine. Actually, do you guys have any recommendation of next place to look for a story close to as good? Harbinger Wars was entertaining, but I don't think quite the some level. I hear Imperium is exceptional? I'm currently catching up on Eternal Warrior and Bloodshot Reborn.

The stories all depend on what you are looking for.
Have you read Armor Hunters Story Arc?

Imperium and Ivar, Timewalker are two of my favorites.

No I haven't read Armor Hunters yet, it's on my list. Just need to order the tpb or go digital on scribd or something. Digital's probably the way to go. I prefer books in hand, have a bunch of tpbs and a few hardcovers, but hard to get everything from 4 years of books and I don't like reading the floppies, I know that's a little different. I do have all 4 1:50 variants, but I'm not about to break them out to read lol.
I'll hit Imperium then Ivar after I'm done with EW and caught up on BS Reborn. Thanks for the tips.

Did you read all of Harbinger yet? If you haven't, you probably should before you dive into Imperium.eschnit wrote:No I haven't read Armor Hunters yet, it's on my list. Re: The Valiant on Amazon, perfect score!
Thanks for the advice. I'm sure you're right. Short answer is no. Would the two Harby Hardcovers do the trick? I know it's sacrilege. I just haven't gone digital and don't read floppies. I need to read online or just make a decision to buy hardcovers and paperbacks to cover every issue. Not that tall of a task. Figure there's probably been about 400 issues released by VEI in the last 4 years. Maybe 50 paperbacks and 10 hardcovers would do the trick.

Re: The Valiant on Amazon, perfect score!
I'd pick The Valiant just for Paolo Rivera's artwork and the colors.
I don't pick up Valiant singles yet because I'm doing a lot of catch-up reading at the moment and the Deluxe Hardcovers are pretty good value propositions and I also like the presentation.
Maybe one bad(?) point is repeat content. I picked up Bloodshot Deluxe HC Vol.1 which is issues #1-13 in their entirety where the last 4-5 issues focused on the Harbinger Wars which led me to pick up the Harbinger Wars Deluxe HC...which covers the entire event including those 4-5 issues of Bloodshot I read.
I noted the same thing when I picked up Unity and Armor Hunters in Deluxe HC. I am not bothered by it but some people may feel a little annoyed at reading repeat content.
