There were four covers shown. One definitely has Shadowman. There is another that is a half Ninjak, half skull cover.

The half skull is Shadowman. That is how he looked when Ninjak encountered him in the Operation: Deadside arc.

I would assume so. The Bleeding Cool article says it's a four-issue series. It also has the following quote from Warren Simons you might like:

The return of Jack Boniface is the just first step in a series of major developments that will be coming for Shadowman over the next year, and RAPTURE will officially begin his long-awaited return to the forefront of the Valiant Universe.

Very excited. I'm getting a Bloodshot USA vibe from this in that it looks to carry on with story beats from Ninjak. I wonder if Ninjak will be on hiatus during Rapture, and maybe transition to another series afterwards?

But yes, also excited that this kicks off how Jack starts coming back. I was hoping it would be with 7 Blades of Master Darque, but this sounds just as good!

Yep. This would be my number one complaint about Valiant. They put all this work into making these great stories and then they completely drop the ball on capitalizing on the momentum.

I think sales numbers indicate there isn't really much momentum to capitalize on. If Operation: Deadside sold better I bet we would have seen Shadowman again sooner.

I still think a Generation Zero series would have done a lot better if it had been launched right after Harbinger Wars.

4001 had great sales but the characters haven't been seen since. Perhaps we could just get an occasional one-shot or annual?

Sometimes they follow through, like Bloodshot Reborn after the Valiant and Wrath of the Eternal Warrior after Book of Death. But there's still no reason not to do something after any event.

It was a more general statement not specific to shadowman. It seems Valiant puts a lot of time into a story and then we don't get a follow up to the story.
