What’s been going on with Bendis at DC? I’ve not followed it at all. Thanks.

Re: Bendis at DC
He wrote a new Man of Steel series
6 issue just like Byrne's
I am undecided on if I like it or not.
He took over Action, legacy numbering, just like Byrne
They started Superman over with a new #1, just like Byrne (Sensing a pattern here?)
His stuff has been OK, I am not enjoying it as much as what the creative teams on the Superman titles were doing before Bendis took over for them.
2 issue of Superman are not and 2 of Action. so that is basically 10 issue of Bendis's Superman and his storytelling style is so decompressed I still am unsure of what his take will be on the character.
I do know that the Superman titles and the Man of Steel miniseries did nowhere near the numbers that DC expected and it has put the other titles he was supposed to curate on hold.
His creator owned imprint. JinxWorld, has moved forward but it has all been pretty mediocre in my opinion.
Again I think DC may be regretting giving him such a sweetheart deal, offering so much money, and giving him his own imprint and a line to curate with classic DC characters. As I said one of those things is on hold now, so I guess we will see.
If you are curious about any of the Superman issues specifically they have all been reviewed on The Comic Source Superman Sunday episodes
