My Unity CGC SS Frank Miller Submissions

Post by nycjadie »

I've been kicking the can on attempting to get Frank Miller signed Unity slabs. I have an Eternal Warrior 1 9.8 I got in a trade, but his signatures are so expensive, and you never know what you're going to get back, I've been on the fence. I used the signature shields in my submission to reduce the risk of damage. That's a first for me.

I just got the grades released after 5 months of waiting! :o

Shadowman 4 9.8
X-O 7 9.8
Archer 1 9.8

Then...

Rai 6 9.0. :o

Grader Notes:
crease right top of back cover

First, that must be some crease! I had them pressed, so it didn't press out. It was immaculate when I sent it in. I haven't seen it yet, but damn. I'm happy that I got 3 9.8s and only 1 lower grade is better than if they all came back 9.6. But damn, 5 month wait and the 9.0 still stings!

Congrats on the grades. Sucks on the Rai though. Who knows on that crease, I've had CGC detach my cover from the comic and not own up to it.

3 out of 4 ain’t bad nycjadie. Yeah, Frank Miller sigs will break the bank. I’ve gotten EW #1 gold and gold flat sigs from CGC. But, it is tough to keep going because of his high signing fee. But, looking at pictures of Frank Miller…. well, I hate to say it…. but, he just doesn’t look healthy (I know he is over his battle with alcohol). So, if you want ‘em…. You had better get ‘em.

I feel like my chances with the old guys are fleeting.

Yeah. If the Valiant Cinematic Universe would have launched after the Bloodshot movie the “old guys” could have made cameos in the films at some point. Shooter could have been the “Stan Lee” of the Valiant films. I’m afraid that if Valiant ever gets a chance at films again it will be in the distant future (and none of the “old guys” will be around to enjoy/be a part of it, and maybe we wont either).
