Unity 0 Red CGC 9.9
Just want to get an idea of what the forum thinks a book like this would go for on the market. I am asking for a friend who is going to own one soon.

Re: Unity 0 Red CGC 9.9
Is he going to own one casue he submitted one that JUST HAS TO BE A 9.9 or greater? Or cause he heard from CGC that's what he got?jduran2 wrote:Just want to get an idea of what the forum thinks a book like this would go for on the market. I am asking for a friend who is going to own one soon.
Book like that I'll believe it when I see the non-photoshopped scan.
If I owned it I would list it on comiclink for $2k.

price
No it is coming from CGC. Hard to figure out the price because it will be the only 9.9 in existence and probably the only one ever. I was guessing maybe 3 to 4 k but heck the right person my want to pay more for it.
Re: price
It wont be the only one ever. There will definitly be more. I don't think it would go for 3-4k even to aug. I think ckb has it right. 2k on comiclinkjduran2 wrote:No it is coming from CGC. I'd tell you to ask Peter Parker about his Solar 10 9.9... But he was banned.jduran2 wrote:No it is coming from CGC.
Anyway, send us a scan so I don't have to wait until the census is updated to believe it.

I think I remember PP saying that the Solar 10 didn't end up being a 9.9 - a mistake of cgc's part.ckb wrote:I'd tell you to ask Peter Parker about his Solar 10 9.9... But he was banned.jduran2 wrote:No it is coming from CGC.

As I understand it, the book has been graded, but not finalized, as a 9.9 according to CGC.
I told the potential seller that I would be happy to share the info (and photos)
with you guys when it had been finalized and/or when it was back in hand.
Until it's finalized, it's not "done".
Also available will be a CGC 9.6 (if finalized) of Bloodshot 0 Platinum Printing Error.
This is a third copy at 9.6, and two are at 9.8. This copy is also "new"
to the count, since it is not one of the previously known copies.
Both books are likely to be sold on Ebay.

True, and I was itching to see it. For such a book to be in 9.8...drool.400yrs wrote:I think I remember PP saying that the Solar 10 didn't end up being a 9.9 - a mistake of cgc's part.ckb wrote:I'd tell you to ask Peter Parker about his Solar 10 9.9... And was Peter really banned? Which thread did that?

It was some thread about soccer that was the final straw, but I think that it was probably just a collection of things that lead up to that point...actually peter got a custom title out of it...though not one that I think that anyone would really want...Shakespeare wrote:True, and I was itching to see it. Wow, we come full-circle. About the second day he was on these boards (what, about 2.5 years ago?) he nearly got thrown off the boards for much the same reason.DawgPhan wrote:It was some thread about soccer that was the final straw, but I think that it was probably just a collection of things that lead up to that point...actually peter got a custom title out of it...though not one that I think that anyone would really want...Shakespeare wrote:True, and I was itching to see it. The submitter's name is Geri (on Ebay as bandl1collectibles)
Email address: bandl1@charter.net
Her plan is to put the books on Ebay, but is open to offers.
She's planning to send another 51 various Valiant books to CGC soon.
She mentioned a large Valiant collection that she's looking to sell as well.
(Just passing on what I've been told.)

I know we have talked about this before, but does this change anyones mind about there being significant amounts of High grade valiants just lying around in someone's storage..
Looks like there are even Bloodshot Plats just hanging around...
We have been shown time and again that none of these books are that rare, yet we continue to see sky high prices for some of them...anyone care to change positions...

As background, this particular seller is the daughter of a former comic shop owner.DawgPhan wrote:I know we have talked about this before, but does this change anyones mind about there being significant amounts of High grade valiants just lying around in someone's storage..

I believe that there are people (mainly dealers) who "knew all about" Valiant years ago,
and kept the best copies they could find... but are only now looking to sell
them because the prices have been so low between the "crash" and "today".
As the price rises, the number of sellers should rise, too.
Will we reach a point where everyone can get everything they want for cheap?
Maybe... but somehow I think the definition of "cheap" is different for everyone.

I dont think that harby 1's at a grand are cheap to anyone..XO 1/2 golds are a great example. $200 book a couple of years ago...what is it now $40? all because basically 1 person had some. It would take much to satisfy demand on some of these books...there simply are not that many collectors of these books...greg wrote:As background, this particular seller is the daughter of a former comic shop owner.DawgPhan wrote:I know we have talked about this before, but does this change anyones mind about there being significant amounts of High grade valiants just lying around in someone's storage..

Let her know that I'd love to buy the pre-unity cgc books in 9.6 conditions that I don't already own. And not to forget that Vintage Magnus IS pre-unity.greg wrote:CGC Serial Number 0718372003

Does uncovering a significant accumulation of pre-unity Valiants change my mind? No. Would it change my mind if they -all- came back from CGC at 9.8? Yes. But I can tell you right now - they wont.DawgPhan wrote:I know we have talked about this before, but does this change anyones mind about there being significant amounts of High grade valiants just lying around in someone's storage..
