My Story
Hello all, my name is Brad Scott, AKA Nemesis_Sith. Though I just registered, I've been checking out this website for the past several weeks. Recently, I went through my old Batman TPB's and I came across my old copy of Unity #1.
The memories flooded back ...
I was into comics big time as were many of my buddies back in the early '90s. It was the weekly ritual to hit up all the grocery stores and Wal-Mart to satiate our desire for new comics. Unfortunately, where I grew up did not have a comic store so anything non-Marvel or DC, we had to get through a flea-market dealer who showed up once or twice a month.
Then, I came across New England comics. I don't know if the place is still open or not, but it was a great idea to order comics from the place and have 'em shipped to your door. The previews came in and there was a feature article about some crossover event from a company I never heard of. Of course, the company was Valiant and the event was UNITY. That was my first exposure ... as time went on, I began a Shadowman collection which then led to Magnus and Solar. It was great until about 1994 or so when I had to start saving up cash for my first car. I didn't get back into comics until '98 or so and found Valiant replaced by Acclaim (I wasn't too happy about that!). I have sporadically collected since then. To my horror, when I inventoried a couple weeks back, I had found my previous Valiant collection had all but disappeared. I can't quite remember what happened to them.
So naturally, I began work on a new collection. This led me to this site which has more information than I could ever dream of on the subject of Valiant comics. I just want to take the time to congratulate Greg on a fabulous site. Since this is my first post, I just want to say Hi to everyone else. I hope to converse with some of you from time to time!
Later for now,
Nemesis_Sith

Welcome to the boards N_S, you came to the right place. Just one quick piece of advice. Don't type in ALL CAPS, board etiquette and all.

I have always been on the Sith side of the Force.
The Jedi Code:
There is no emotion; there is peace.
There is no ignorance; there is knowledge.
There is no passion; there is serenity.
There is no death; there is only the Force.
The Code of The Sith:
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

19) VALIANT WILL RETURN.
It'll be a celebration of complete chaos and destruction.
It'll be a glorious time of weeping. The earth will shift on its axis.

The Jedi Code is portrayed as being the central philosophy and dogma of the Jedi Knights. Several versions exist, and the code is portrayed as having been appended over the millennia. By the time of the Clone Wars it included many fairly esoteric prohibitions far removed from the core beliefs of a Jedi, such as a doctrine that training shall only begin in infancy. However, throughout all of these changes there was a central, core part of the code that remained the fundamental belief of a Jedi, which is what I posted above. The Mighty Drew wrote:What is this from?????slym2none wrote:I have always been on the Sith side of the Force.

The Sith Code was the mantra that reinforced the core beliefs of the Sith Order. This code was developed many millennia before the Star Wars films take place, and was taught specifically as a foundation of Sith Philosophy at the Sith Academy on Korriban as far back as the Old Republic.
