Re: My New Year's Resolution for 2019 Is...

Comic resolutions: Finally getting a Hulk 181 before it gets too expensive for me to own and start to maybe entertain the idea of collecting Valiant original art. I “need” a nice framed OA cover for the nerdery.

Personal resolution: Be a better dad (Spend more quality time with my daughter).

Re: eBay Escapades

I have a few that are around 10 years old. The picture quality is great on the listings especially if it is a marquee book which normally gets a full page. I look at them from time to time and laugh at what the books were projected to sell for based on grade. The catalogs I have also have sections ...

Re: eBay Escapades

Haha. Yes. What a turd. I have some old heritage catalogs floating around here somewhere. I think one of them has a picture of Detective Comics #27 on the cover. Should I list it for 1 million dollars?!? Dealing with the general public can be frustrating.

Re: ...and then this happened!

I met Bob Layton about 2 years ago at a local convention. He was pleasant to talk to and generous enough with his time to speak to my 6 year old daughter for awhile. He actually told my wife and daughter a personal story about himself and his own daughter and how much they used to love to watch Star ...

Individual books have been discounted. I will still sell the remaining 4 books for $200 shipped. I would also entertain any trades for all 4 books. Not just Valiant either. I am open to anything interesting. Thanks.

Re: Your favourite Crossovers/Events (NON-VALIANT)

1. Knightfall- Not because it was the best story, because I was 11-12 and it was the event to follow for that year. My friends and I would bike up to the LCS and get them as they came out. It was a lot of fun and something to look forward to. I remember it being right around Death of Superman too ...

Re: CGC success story

Thanks guys. And yeah, I would normally never divulge any information about comic costs or values to my wife. She doesn't ask so I never offer up. In this case, she noticed my good mood when I came home from work and asked why I was in such a good mood. (She knew it couldn't have been work related ...

CGC success story

Thought I would share this. About 4 months ago I bought an ASM 129 (CGC 9.0) on eBay. The comic had white pages and looked pretty good except for a small crunched corner and it was tilted in the slab a little. The seller said it had never been pressed so I took my chances and sent it in to CGC for ...

Re: Any board members here collect / invest in LEGOs?

I can't believe I just saw this thread! Lego is the coolest. I built them a lot when I was a kid. My 6 year old daughter and I started building them now for the last couple months. So far just Star Wars only. She also only has the patience to build the microfighters (75-100 pieces max). Of course, I ...

Want to buy- VEI Eternal Warrior 1 (1:50) CGC 9.6

This is the last book I need to complete my Valiant wall. I would like one in the newest new CGC case and well centered. Thank you very much guys. I haven’t been able to find the exact copy I want for some reason.
